Look at last year - the Braves play great ball all year and in the 2 games that matter Sale is in street clothes and Fried lays another October egg. So, no, I don’t care anything about the standings until June.

The Braves played great ball all year last year?

That’s awesome. Hopefully the rain is gone by then, but not looking great. The Battery is a great environment/experience and there is plenty of stuff for the kiddo too Bobblehead night too I believe. Have a blast!

I hope it’s gone by game time also. staying a half mile from the stadium. We are sitting in the Pen section in the outfield. I think the tickets comes with food so you can’t beat that. Do they still sell the foam tomahawks at the game?

But I think over the long haul they will be one of the top 6 teams in the NL.

You also thought Vaughn Grissom and Orlando Arcia would be better shortstops than Dansby.

You also think Max Fried isn't a good pitcher.

Stop thinking.

The Braves didn't play "great ball" all year last year. They looked pretty bad for much of it, and couldn't get any rest for their rotation down the stretch, just trying to make it in. And then had to go on the road, because they finished as the second wild card. All of those things could have been avoided by winning more games in the regular season.

No one is arguing that winning in October matters more. You are the only one who is even bringing that discussion in. We're saying that every game matters, because they all count in the standings, and 105 wins is certainly better than 88, if 88 doesn't get you in, or even if it does, you get stuck with a bad draw.

Yes the intensity picks up later in the year. That doesn't mean it matters more. It just means it's getting late and teams are feeling the pressure. But intensity doesn't make one game count as two.
