Lets give him his due. After getting the worst franchise ever to playoffs and beating Pittsburg, and I don’t know how many different coaches and OC’s. And going to LA late last year after having 1 walk thru practice and taking them on a 98 yard winning TD drive. He has endured quite a lot change and still standing tall.

Record:

Baker Mayfield becomes the first visiting quarterback EVER with a perfect passer rating (158.3) at Lambeau Field.

Baker Mayfield - who does not have the resources his predecessor did. He is now tied for 2nd in 40+ yard completions, 6th in 20+ yard completions, 8th in TD's with 24 (5 tied for #3 with 23) and has a better TD/Int ratio than Mahomes, Allen, Tua, and many others - while having to play PHI, DET, SF, MIN, HOU and that first place schedule.

Next Gen Stats
@NextGenStats

Baker Mayfield completed 20 of 24 passes against zone coverage for 361 yards & 3 TD in the Buccaneers 34-20 victory over the Packers.

Mayfield threw a TD pass to all four levels of the field for the third time in his career, the most by any QB since 2016.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers through 14 games:

2022 with Tom Brady: 6-8 record
2023 with Baker Mayfield: 7-7 record

Undefeated since they announced expecting

And lastly lets compare Tom Brady first 80 games (same team same coach) to Baker first 85 games (lost count of HC/OCs) on 4 different teams

A good coach could do well with Tampa next year. I hope they get Bowles out of there before he drags us back to the pre brady days.

What a quality coach Fatt Fhule was in Carolina, Baker looked like a bum just like just about every other recent Panther QB.

So he threw for 20 yards and 1 TD against man? And GB kept going into zone?

Looks like it. He was 2-4 for 1 TD vs Man. Keep in mind he threw a pass away out of bounds before half to kick FG (had no timeouts), so his accuracy was great today. Lots of tight window throws.

@NFL345

In today's @Buccaneers win, @bakermayfield became the 3rd QB in @NFL history with 375+ passing yards (381), 4+ TD passes (4) & a 158.3 passer rating - the highest attainable mark - in a road game.

He joins Nick Foles (11/3/13 at Oakland) & Ken O'Brien (11/2/86 at Seattle).

He's had a nice season, for sure, but they're still 7-7 in a terrible division (and I've always kinda liked Baker). But has he done enough for Tampa to commit to him long-term?

Not gonna lie, after his last season in Cleveland, and his failed stint in Carolina. I was certain Mayfield was on his way out of the league. What a resurgence he has had.

He played injured his last Browns season. Shouldn’t have but did it to help the team. And Panthers were a total mess.

Considering the coaching instability he has endured its amazing to me. I never doubted his abilities but he has survived thru what 9 of 10 other qbs would not have.

How would Dallas be if he was there this year? And many others. Tampa does not have the best quality offense either. But he’s a gamer and loves the sport.

Question is what does he do next year? He will have lots of options. Vikings could use him too.

I never gave up on Baker. I have always believed he could be great in the league if he could just catch a break with the damn coaching carousel. What fools the Browns are.

How do the Rams pick up Mayfield off waivers last year and not hang on to him?

As a lifelong Browns fan...i cant even adequately describe how pissed i was that the Browns let go of Baker Mayfield. This guy came into an 0-16 franchise and led them to a playoff WIN @Pittsburgh. 4 different head coaches while in Cleveland including Hue Jackson and Freddie Kitchens...and 5 different OC's. That alone is incredible he was able to survive!!! What he did in Cleveland was simply amazing...and yet the Cleveland Browns FO just couldn't get behind him. One of those "Forrest for the Trees" type of decisions. I think about the last 2 seasons in Cleveland and i can 100% say that the Browns would NOT be any worse than what they are right now...if not better!!!

Baker Mayfield 2023:

63.5% Comp
3,315 yds
24 TDs
8 Int
94.7 QBR

Baker Mayfield Career:

19,603 yds passing
126 TDs
72 Ints
87.9 QBR

Compare Baker Mayfield to his peer QBs from the same draft...Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

Josh Allen Career:

21,938 yds
164 TDs
74 Ints
92.4 QBR

Lamar Jackson Career:

15,314 yds P
5,178 yds R
147 TDs
45 Ints
96.7 QBR

All things considered...Baker Mayfield isn't NEARLY as bad as people make him out to be. The level of hate this guy received was ridiculous. Many people hated the Progressive Insurance commercials and didnt think Baker did anything to deserve being in the commmercials...without knowing that Progressive is HQ'd in CLEVELAND!!!!! I hope he finds a home in Tampa. The guy is a solid veteran QB!!!

Because their super bowl winning qb was injured last year and coming back this year. It was great he got that audition but they were not going to sign Baker with all the money tied up.

Next year will be interesting. Baker took less pay to showcase his abilities this year. I expect some teams to kicking the tires in FA.

There are a lot of injuries but this Packers defense is what's broken. To call it pathetic is being nice, and the scheme is so ridiculous it makes your head hurt. Of course, while teams like the Eagles see an issue and make a change in season to correct it, the fricking Packers just trudge along needing "to review the film". Did you watch the game, a-hole?!

This defense forced ONE punt yesterday, which ended up being a 66 yarder that was downed inside the 10.

I would say it can't get any worse, but Bryce Young is gonna shred this defense next week. And I'll be there live to watch it all unfold.

Given Baker’s luck so far in his career I fully expect TB to draft a QB, putting him on the clock.
