Love these post-draft hot takes, guy hasn't taken a snap in the NFL yet

Not sure the giants factored in the added cost of face paint for Dart. Might put them over the cap.

Nah. Cam Ward says hold my purple drank.

He’ll be good once he matures. Needs a few learning years

okay, guy who can’t even spell his name.

I feel bad for Dart because he's going to a bad situation. It's a high likelihood the Giants suck again this year, which could get Dabol and the GM fired. Then a new coach and GM could be trying to draft their own guy next year

From a story Wednesday on NFL dot com with coaches, executives and scouts assessing the QB prospects:
"Dart is the toughest motherf----- there is," an AFC GM said. "He makes all the throws. He's got everything you want. But then he just does some dumb things. I think if you put him in the right system and use his athletic traits and his toughness and let him throw the ball 20 to 25 times until he learns the game more, learns to lead more and all that, you could have something. But this kid could also be Will Levis 2.0."
"I could teach my dog to f---ing run those concepts," an AFC executive said. "[Kiffin] makes it very simple."

He was the 25th pick. Expectations aren't super high and they didn't give away much to get him.
By comparison, look at what the Jags gave up to get Hunter. If he's not a star instantly, he has the biggest bust potential which isn't necessarily fair to him.
The Rams were very disappointed NYG moved up ahead of them to get Dart. They were gonna take him and traded down instantly once NYG moved up.

Agree and I was hoping Dart would go to the Rams.

Dart is only 21 and physically he has strong enough arm and enough athleticism to be a good NFL QB. If the Giants give him enough time to develop they could have their QB of the future. The Giants got the best player in the draft with Carter and maybe their future QB.

Learning from Stafford/McVay for a couple of years was definitely the more optimal position.
