Can't lie. Those people in the video make me think they hired a company that employs rejects from the Walmart greeter interviews.
So, removing the bridge makes it all better? The f***ing Zydeco name is the problem! I really want BR to have a professional sport team that people can get behind, but this kind of effort is just dead before it starts.

I wonder what their asking price is to release the name. I can't imagine they're ever going to make money off of it again, even the Salmon Kings folded so the entity that was the Kingfish no longer exists so their price can't be that much can it?

Not unless there's a consistent ice rink available. As far as I know Leo's is no longer open and the River Center only does ice skating around Christmas time. The closest available full time rink available for practices and games I know of is in Lafayette

Leo's wasn't open part of the time the Kingfish were active; they did youth hockey at the Centroplex then. Hopefully they can do the same now. Hockey is lots of fun to play.
Also, BREC has previously discussed building an ice rink. They certainly get enough tax money to support it!

At what point was it not open? I remember skating there as a kid and then going there again as adult during the Kingfish era. I assumed it was open that entire time. It didn't close for good until well after the ECHL was gone from here
