You trash him as not being worthy of a #55 2nd round pick and went as far as saying he couldn't even make it in the G-League.

Fact: if his last name wasn't James the Lakers would have never drafted him.

Fact: The guys around him in the draft signed contracts worth like $600,000-$700,000. Because his last name is James he got a contract worth up to over $8,000,000 and he's guaranteed to make over $4,000,000.

I know everyone here hates LeBron, and by extension, his son. But how the hell does this idiotic take almost have 50 upvotes?

For all players playing 18 or more minutes this season, Bronny James (44 minutes) is the worst in PER (negative 5). Worst in WS/48 (-.3). The Lakers have a staggering 39 O Rating with Bronny on the floor. Worse than being bad, this is EXPECTED. Who could have imagined that a guy shooting 36/21 in the G-League would show up to the NBA and be outclassed?

I honestly believe the Lakers are leaving Ws on the table this season catering to LeBron’s ego. I can’t imagine it helps at all to parade this kid around that everyone knows has no business in the NBA. The Lakers are legit good. They should be better. What does this do to JJ’s voice in the locker room? What does this do to the other guys who have to watch this kid be gifted opportunities he hasn’t earned?

It’s an embarrassment to the league. Back in the day, this would have been a huge topic but no one wants to damage the NBA brand or basically obliterate the kid for being a pawn in his dad’s legacy scheme.

Imagine an owner drafting his son on an NBA team and demanding they be treated like a real NBA player. It would be a HUGE story, but somehow this one is skating by.

What? No it's not. At least not in regards to Marcus vs Bronny. Marcus was a legitimately good college basketball player and an all conference player. MJ owned a team and could have drafted Marcus if he went the nepotism route that Lebron did. Lebron would have made the Lakers take Bronny in the first round if Bronny had Marcus' college stats. But Bronny averaged like 4 points a game so he couldn't quite a get him selected in the first round.
