He is way overated. This will not work out like Michigan had hoped.

I’ll put $10k right now you haven’t watched more than a 3 minute highlight.

The funny part will be that a girlfriend of a really rich dude with no ties to Michigan spent all that money because his Michigan alum girlfriend told him to

Bryce Underwood shows promise in debut
The stat line isn’t the greatest, but Underwood sure had his moments in a 17-0 win for the Blue team. Underwood was 12-of-26 for 187 yards with one passing touchdown and one interception. Underwood’s interception looked to be miscommunication on a deep ball, while his touchdown pass was from 88 yards out on the last play of the game to Jalen Hoffman on an end-around flea-flicker throw.

Underwood had good stature in the pocket and was aware of when it was time for him to avoid pressure and throw on the run. Underwood’s arm talent appears to be top-tier, but on a windy day in Ann Arbor, he had his share of near misses and balls that sailed by a wide margin (with more than a handful going out of the end zone or out of bounds).

So out side of a flea flicker TD, he was 11-25 for 99 yards 1 int. Woof.

18 year old in his first college scrimmage. The kid is uber talented and will be good for Michigan. I just hope we get the change to beat him and them one day.

I know why he went to Michigan, I just think that he would have much better success as a QB at about 20 other schools. Harbaugh left, and the offense reverted back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust. I understand a lot was due to lack of QB talent, but man they didn’t even attempt to throw it.

Him coming to LSU under the current admin/coaches with our WR’s would have him putting up close to 4,000 yards a season.

He said Underwood spinning the ball was jaw-dropping

There are 200 guys who can throw the ball 75+ yards all over the country. Have to be able to put it in the right place at the right time.

Far too early to say one way or the other, but he overthrew a number of guys in the spring game.

We're about to learn what $10M does for incentivizing 18 year olds.

Its genius by the rich folk.

Unless these kids have any type of guidance all of this money will be back into the economy in less than 5 years. If they dont make the NFL, which most wont because the money kills the drive, they will be flat broke by 30. back on the government tit while they had a little run.

I would like him to be unsuccessful at Michigan, but I spoke to a high school coach who brought some prospects to one of their practices. He said Underwood spinning the ball was jaw-dropping. The Michigan coaching staff is giddy.

Part of the strength of Michigan is that they aren't bringing a guy in and relying on him to be the best QB at the country in order to win games. Given his salary you are expecting that of him, but Michigan will contend as long as they have a top 25 type guy.

I also think because he was a local guy the program itself was willing to pay more and boosters were willing to pay more than they otherwise would have. Moore is very young in his coaching career there, if you lose a guy like that and he turns out to be the second coming then you've lost the good will of a portion of the fanbase that you'll never be able to get back in my opinion.

Like if Arch were Peyton's son and they lived in Knoxville, and then he went to Texas over Tennessee.... nothing Heupel could realistically do would be good enough for a large number of fans after that.
