Bull Riding - do they really cinch it's nuts to piss him off?

My dad used to tell me they squeeze it's nuts but I'm watching now and no one is messing with the testes.

If the bull is calm they have a few "techniques" to get them pissed off.

the rope by the hind legs hits a spot on the bull that aggravates the shite out of them. Same thing with a horse. Pisses them off

If we tie a string or ribbon around our cats belly he thinks it paralyzes him. He lays down on his side and doesn't move.

Different animals are affected different ways. For example...."twitch" a horse by squeezing and twisting his ear..and he'll freeze. For a donkey...it's on his neck. Race horses respond to twitches well in the starting gates when the assistant starters want them to behave in the gates.

They put a rope around the flank. Just before theThey open the shoot thw Cowboy gives a nod and youll see a guy on the arse end of the bull. This guy pulls the rope that sinches down on the flank, the bull comss out of the shoot trying to buck off the rope, when the rider falls off the clowns come by and loosen the flank or it will eventually come loose.

Good bucking bull semen is one of the most expensive liquids on earth, they not putting a rope around his sack.

See the strap around the back of the bull? Its called a flank strap. It doesn't make the bull buck per se (the bull usually stops bucking soon after it gets rid of the rider), but it does serve as an additional "irritant" to put the bull in a bad mood.

They do the same thing for the broncs.







Also, unlike the bulls (which are all male, duh), a large number of the broncs are mares (female). Thus, the strap isn't to irritate the nuts per se since they use it on mares as well. Again, its just used to put them in an even fouler mood and give a better show.
