Charlie Sheen: My greatest party ever was with the Cincinnati Reds

Actor Charlie Sheen continues his media tour in a battle with CBS, which discontinued his sitcom “Two and a Half Men” for the remainder of the season based on Sheen’s “conduct and condition,” according to CBS.
In an interview with TMZ, Sheen described the greatest party he has been a part of (14:20 mark).
That party was with members of his favorite baseball team, The Cincinnati Reds. Two separate parties took place – one during the 1990 Wire-to-Wire run – and one during the 1992 season.
“Cincinnati Reds party for sure … It was epic. It was radical and they still talk about it to this day – 21 years later. Lou Piniella – my man!”
Sheen wouldn’t go into details of the party, however, a 1993 story that ran in the Enquirer by John Erardi bring some of the storyline to light:
It had to be the Reds, right?

Even the players shook their heads when they heard they had been mentioned in the hottest new scandal in the country: prostitution in Hollywood .
“Unbelievable,” said one Red, who asked not to be named.
He was not referring to the veracity of the report on the TV show “A Current Affair” Monday night. He was referring to the fact that no team in the sports world, not even the Mets, has been beset by more of a soap-opera, supermarket-tabloid atmosphere in the last few years.
Clubhouse abuzz
Before Tuesday’s game, the Reds’ clubhouse was ga-ga with the latest gossip. If you’re not a regular watcher of “A Current Affair,” here’s what you missed:
An unidentified woman claiming to be a Hollywood madam said an unidentified actor called her to arrange parties for the Reds when they were in LA.
“We would provide the girls,” she said.
The broadcast set the phones to ringing in the players’ rooms at the Parc 55 Hotel here Tuesday morning. Some wives wanted some answers.
“Hey, I wasn’t even here then,” rookie pitcher Tim Pugh protested to his wife, Stephanie.
Two Reds players confirmed this much: actor Charlie Sheen held two parties for the Reds in his Malibu home – one in 1990, one in 1992 – and at the second party two women weren’t wearing tops.
Charlie who?
Charlie Sheen is a huge Reds fan. He spent his formative years in Dayton , where his actor father Martin was born and lived before moving to California . Charlie has starred in numerous films, including the comedy, “Major League,” in which he played a Cleveland Indians pitcher nicknamed Wild Thing.
In 1990, the real-life Sheen was sitting on the Reds’ bench in LA before a game with the Dodgers. He was wearing a Reds’ uniform with his Wild Thing number, 99, on his back.
Lou Piniella, then manager of the Reds, happened by.
“Hi, Lou,” said Sheen.
“Hi, how ya’ doin’?” said Piniella.
Moments later, out of the earshot of Sheen, Piniella asked a baseball writer covering the team, “Who in the (bleep) was that?”
Told it was Charlie Sheen, Piniella said, “Who’s Charlie Sheen?”
Presumably, Piniella later found out.
‘Hookers? No’
“Oh yeah, Charlie had a couple of parties for the team,” said another unnamed Red. “Even Lou went to one of them.”
That would have been the party in 1990, the tamer of the two parties according to Unnamed Red No. 1.
“Last year’s party was better,” the player said. “Most of the players were there except the ones who had their wives traveling with them . . . Two women (at the party) were topless . . . But hookers? No, I didn’t think any of them were hookers. It was just a party – a great party.”
Sheen had sent stretch limos to the Reds’ hotel to chauffeur the players to his home, which is full of Reds’ memorabilia.
“It wasn’t a house party, though. It was a mansion party,” Unnamed Red No. 1 said. “You should see Charlie’s place! Three decks. On the top deck was a fountain, which dripped down to a Jacuzzi on the deck below, which dripped down to a Jacuzzi on the deck below that.
“Only one bedroom, though.”
Rose banned. Schott suspended. Browning busted.
It had to be the Reds, right?
Rob Dibble's memories of partying with Sheen:
"During our championship season in 1990, Charlie Sheen threw us a couple of parties at his Malibu house. He spent over $50,000 - all of it on strippers, hookers and porn stars. For one party, he sent limos to pick us up from Dodger Stadium. I actually blew the save that night. I like having fun, but this was a freak show. I saw one of my fat, ugly teammates having sex with this beautiful porn star in a Jacuzzi."
