Has this been discussed yet?

Conference USA is playing tournament games two at a time, on opposite sides of a huge black curtain in the facility where the NFL's Dallas Cowboys practice.

AL.com snippet for UAB

quote:

The most important week of the year is here for UAB basketball, which is to say, Jordan Walker better be comfortable shooting jumpers on a rent-a-floor basketball court inside a football practice facility in Frisco, Texas. Ah, good ol’ Conference USA. Nothing says “we don’t care about basketball” quite like hosting a conference tournament on two courts separated by a partition inside a building that draws more people for Dallas Cowboys dance camps.

I, for one, think they should take the curtain down so I can watch one game in the background and one game in the foreground at the same time.

Is it weird that I don't see the ridiculousness in this?

Rushing to the adjoining court after a win to catch the end of another game to see who you played next. Good times.

whats the problem?

they play MANY ncaa tourney games in make shift arenas/stadiums.

this can get rounds done faster, and give teams a day off, if they wanted.

Is this what they meant by Judy's curtains on the CUSA board? I kept seeing that topic pop up from some Marshall and ODU fans on there and after googling the CUSA commissioner am glad this is the curtains they were talking about and not some type of Hope Solo leaked pics situation.

The NCAA did this for the tournament last year at Lucas Oil Stadium. And I think in San Antonio for the women.

This is awesome. Great for the players and the fans. I bet it’s a cool atmosphere to play in that building. It’s a throwback to my summer league days of junior high and high school.
