Dale Earnhardt’s final resting place

It is located on the private property owned by his widow Teresa. The public isn’t allowed on to visit. I had no idea what it looked like until I went down the rabbit hole and learned it is visible on google earth.
Since Teresa and the older Earnhardt kids don’t get along I wonder if they are even able to visit?
Don’t know who took this picture:
It is located behind DEI and at the address below if you want to look at the aerial. Dale’s houses are on the property also
1701 Coddle Creek Hwy
Mooresville, NC 28115
United States

I seriously doubt she doesn't let his kids visit his gravesite.
Might not come in the main house though

Who said anything about race?
Looks like you're the only one bringing it up.

I can't quite explain it, but this comment seems like such a douche thing to say.

Humpy Wheeler in his book said he advised Teresa to do this, that if she buried him in a cemetery it would be a perpetual circus at his grave with fans acting up.
Benny Parsons is also buried on his own property.

It just seems selfish to deny fans an opportunity to pay their respects… would it be a circus?… probably… but the man made his living off the traveling (nascar) circus.

imagine feeling entitled to the place where a guy is buried just because you liked to watch him drive in a circle.

these are real people, not just puppets to dance for you. they don't owe the "fans" anything.

Not passing judgment, just relaying facts.
I went back and looked at Humpy’s book … Teresa first wanted to bury him in the cemetery at Centre Grove Lutheran Church in Kannapolis where his daddy (and now his mother) are buried. Humpy told her, direct quote from the book, “The fans will tear that place apart,” and advised her to bury him on his own property and actually helped (or so he said) to make it happen legally.

Following up, the cemetery is not at the church, it’s a half mile away, and from the looks of it on Google Earth it’s a small cemetery in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and it absolutely would be a circus of Goodwrench-clad people making pilgrimages 365/24/7.
I know people hate Teresa but IMO it’s her business where she buried him, and the family issues are between her and Dale Jr. and Kelley and Kerry and Taylor.
And as far as any entitlement for fans to have a place to mourn, I’ll just say the scene I saw in the backyard at Graceland during a couple of visits there was rather sad and depressing.

That place would be the Redneck Hajj if it was public

Imagine thinking a President should be given a public burial space knowing how many people will piss and shite on it.

Will be an interesting Zillow/ Realtor write up description when the property is ever put up for sale.

I didn't know a loved one could be buried on private property, this way. Would any of you lay family members to rest in your backyard if allowed to do so? I'm not sure how I'd feel about that...

On the current satellite view in Google maps, you can see either a watch tower or tree stand just to the East a few yards away. Either way, it's a fitting touch to the location.
