The offense looks like Val Kilmer and Gene Hackman.

Only reading for the creativity of the younguns and quips like these from the old guard
Brown is the only positive thing about this team

How we looking?
Blanco was looking good...
But then a bunt single to e-sock.
A wounded duck flair to right field on an absolutely nasty 1-2 pitch that the batter was just trying to fight off.
3-Run HR to dead center on a hanging curve ball down the dick.
He absolutely Frambered this inning.

Let me get this straight
Looking at the box score…we start the game with back to back singles and have 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and then didn’t have another base runner til tuve singled in the top of the 6?

Lone run scored on an RBI groundout.
And the Cardinals have added at least 1 run in the sixth, in part to losing an out on a dropped Cam Smith fly ball in foul territory.

Guess there’s no need to turn this one on then. Hate early Wednesday games with a Thursday off day
Well I guess it’s a good thing we don’t have to watch this offense for 50+ hours

Yes. And by all means, let’s sit Alvarez when he DHd last night and have an off day tomorrow. That trot around the bases must have exhausted him.

I’d take him over Contreras

Have we thrown a baserunner out this season? I'm almost positive opposing teams have a 100% steal success rate

Looks like I tuned in just in time. Was planning on settling in and watching the whole game on record, but I’m glad that didn’t work out.
This offense is a terrible embarrassment.

With the Padres coming to town.
This is fine.

I'm fed up. 13 times in 17 games we've scored 3 or fewer runs.
And every night in the post game Joe spins his thread of bullshite "hurr well we did this and that. We put so many runners on. You see what we did in the 1st? Up 1-0 in 3 batters. That's who these guys are. Were just on the cusp of breaking out. Remember when we scored 14 runs?"
FOJE.
And our nutless dickbag beat writers just smile and nod along with him and then get sassy on Twitter when they're called out on it.

Being out of pocket for a couple of weeks I missed this…so is it McTaggart and Rome that are getting pissy?

I haven't seen anything from either of them pressing Espada on why his offense is so bad. Chandler has always been a smarmy count to the people he needs to consume his content.

Rome says the hitting coaches aren't the problem and made a snide-arse remark the night they scored 14 against the Angels.
The hitting coaches aren't the entire problem, but they damn sure aren't part of the solution, either.

I hope someone tells him we’ve scored that same amount of runs in the 5 games since…COMBINED.
