I know many of you don't read the title. 6:40 first pitch. Don't show up 30 minutes late. Bring your brooms.

I’m not a Rockets fan but it’s interesting seeing how dead the city is for a new era’s playoff run compared to the 18-19 days with Jim. Maybe that says more about the current NBA.

Obviously there were years with more playoff success but I’ll never forget how much fun 2015 was when it was the first year we were competitive with our young core. It was first time in nearly a decade we were an exciting team to watch and it seemed like every night was must watch tv

And then it all went to hell in the 8th.

The Astros and Texans get more love in this city, but the Rockets will eventually get back to where they were before 2020.

I recall Correa making an error, but I really didn't have high expectations that year.

I wasn't mad at Correa. Felt like he gave us the most professional AB on the team at that time. We had way too many 3 outcome guys, but in retrospect, with the Royals eventually winning it, who knows? They might have stole one.

It was about that time that I became more active in the DAT, though I read them for years. I was a regular on the Astros board at MLB.com in its early days and used to go head to head with the likes of Astrohop.

I hated Garner and he defended him. We found peace after we agreed on the fact that pulling Oswalt in that 52 pitch inning that led to the WS loss after a 5 run lead was not a real option.

I wonder what it will take for me and New Iberia Haircut?

Does anyone remember the Chip Bailey Astros blog from Chron.com? I was dialing up the old family desktop to get some Astros content from him.

Not many things I hate more than seeing Chas McCormick in a starting lineup. Would rather see Dezenzo and Cam in CF/RF while Jake takes his off-day

Anyways here's tonight's lineup:

Just checking to be sure, but are we all in agreement that we won't win dick long-term with Pena batting cleanup every night?

How can you say that?

The league leader in infield hits last season batting 4th is a bad thing?

I mean he produced half of Walker's season total from the 4 spot in ONE game

And now he has Walker to protect him

Joe's got this

There was a report yesterday that they are thinking about playing Cam in CF and Dezenzo in RF to get them more at bats

Cam in CF

I don't think he's comfortable enough in RF to be making the move to CF any time soon

I’m not saying I agree. Just saying there’s been talks in the organization

Apparently, Smith has graded out as a well above average RF so far with the 3rd best speed of all of them. We know he has a good arm already.

It's that speed in particular that makes him a CF option ala a young Mike Trout, who is also not a small guy.

The plan in Rome's article appears to be to eventually work him in maybe once per week in CF while giving him practice reps.

Man, if Cam can ever play CF regularly, that solves the Dezenzo problem as well. It does not solve the lineup's LH bat problem though.

I think he looks pretty good in RF. He’s so quick. I’m really impressed in the jumps he gets on balls in play, for only playing the position for 15 games.
