Did Bo Jackson really dominate Bosworth on the infamous TD run?

Watching the gif in another thread and having recently watched "Brian and the Box" special that is something I wanted to get a feel from fans on.
Jackson was moving at full speed and Bosworth hit him at about the 2/2 1/2 yd line. Bosworth went way too high on his tackle and spun around Jackson and brough him down. Jackson's momentum easily carried him into the endzone. He got tackled... Had it not been a goal line play it would have been a normal tackle 2& 6yds to go.
Also another TD run in that game Bo broke a long TD run and at one point Bosworth came into camera chasing him. But no one expected a LBer to catch one of the fastest and best RBs in an open field sprint? Aside from those two plays the media in my mind overhyped, Bosworth had a good game and season as the Hawks made the playoffs. Injuries failed his body.
Did Jackson really destroy Bosworth as claimed or was it a case of people wanting to see Bosworth get his and this was the closest thing to it?

No. It was overblown

If you haven't seen it in the past 2 1/2 decades then you bring no value to begin with.

No as he didn't run over him and Jackson had squared to line. Nobody would have made that stop.

Here it is for those who haven't seen it.

Yes Jackson dominated Bos.
If you can't provide a link you suck.

It appears Bos's teammate tackled him.

I've seen it but its not some play that was burned into my memory.
Do you want people to analyze it properly or not?
Also, that gif is too choppy to really tell exactly how the play went down.

Do you think Bo would have scored on Butkus or Singletary?

I think Jackson scores on anyone going full speed squared up at the 2 yd line.

Sedrick Hodge shouldn't have made that stop, but the Boz should have...

If my aunt had nuts, she'd be my uncle.
Boz's goal was to stop Bo short of the goal line. He failed.
I blame Boz for this. He was the one talking shite before the game.

Here's a pic from another angle. Bosworth tackled him but went way to high on Bo who had too much momentum and was going to score maybe if Bosworth went lower and made a more dominant tackle it wouldn't have blown up as it did. Bo still scores though.

I think a great linebacker makes the play. Singletary stoned Eric Dickerson on a 3rd and 1 and Dickerson ran wild on everyone else that year.

Ray Lewis would have. Urlacher would have.
Yep.

if Boz could make that play, he wouldn't be wishing he could go back to college...

Within 2years Boz retired because of the horrendous conditions of shoulders.
Spinoff question. If Boz would have not worn that dumb shirt and spent his senior year at Oklahoma, does he even have a Pro career?

quote:That play if completely different. Bo had 6-7 yards of momentum. To stop someone dead with that momentum when running sideways to them is impossible.

Exactly, even if Boz went low and made a form wrap up tackle at the thighs, Jackson still falls forward into the endzone.
