I think he was a receiver and got injured, ending his playing career

He was the most athletic of the brothers.

I don't know for a fact, just word of mouth and rumors, but I heard he was a damn good athlete and could have been pretty good had he not been injured.
Probably Bill Brasky rumors though.

That's what I've come to believe. People have run with the theory that he could have been a better football player than his brothers.

per wiki:
so it wasn't really an injury, just a disease...

Cooper Manning, Archie's oldest son, was born in 1974. At 6'4", he was once an All-State High School wide receiver, and he was considered a hot prospect for the University of Mississippi. He is also the joker of the family, once convincing Peyton to join him in wearing brown paper bags on their heads at one of their father's Saints games.[11] Diagnosed with spinal stenosis (a narrowing of the spinal canal) after extensive testing, his football career was ended.[12][13]

I don't really think the "let me google that for you" works here. The OP was looking for opinions from people who may be in the know. It's not like he asked how much older Cooper is than Peyton or some other definite fact.

What does Cooper do these days (job-wise)?

He works for a oil investment company out of NOLA if I remember correctly.

I thought he did some kind of motivational speaking

I never watched him play, but I know people who did. He likely would have been a very good college receiver.

Anyway his last name alone affords him many luxuries including fine trim.

It's a well known fact that the poster "glassman" and cooper were the best qb/wr combo to ever come out of Newman
