Do they never show him while he's smoking because oh no smoking is bad?

In the early 80s I scored a press pass for a Saints game and after the game went into the locker room and at least half the team had lit up. It was funny as hell to see, especially since they had just gotten destroyed by the Steelers...

I can name several soccer players who will legitimately kick your arse.

If I remember correctly, Jim Harbaugh smoked a heater on the sidelines of a game in the 90's.

Really? From the US team? I figure that would be the hardest sport besides maybe long distance running for a regular smoker.

I think Elway was the last star who smoked regularly. Obviously I'm not hanging out with hundreds of NFL players every week, so I don't know, but apparently it was a big deal that guys like Julius Jones and Corey Dillon smoked, so it must be a very rare thing in today's league. I'm sure plenty of players smoke weed from time to time, but that's not the same as carrying a pack of Marlboros or Newports everywhere.

Sonic Sam is obviously a pothead, but he smokes cigarettes too? Dumb

Oh, that's not as bad because almost no one smokes cigars the way they smoke cigarettes (5 minute breaks each hour, another half a pack throughout the day, etc).

I remember in the late 70's when the Saints had Conrad Dobler. They had just beat the Vikings in the opening game and he walked into Barts with a woman on his arm and a smoke hanging from his lips.

The last pro athlete I remember smoking near the field was John Kruk. I remember reading a Lewis Grizzard article about it when the Braves were playing the Phillies in the playoffs.
