I was a big SVP and Russillo fan and have always appreciated Russillo pumping up CFB on a national level.

I was always so-so on his stand alone Ringer podcast but I’ve found myself listening a lot more lately.

His interviews with various authors has been really strong lately.

I listen to it pretty regularly, although recently I’ve found myself skipping a lot of the openings and interviews depending on the topic

Always listen to the life advices, usually pretty funny. Kyle is the real MVP of the show even though he’s terrible at being a producer

His openings can get real bad and repetitive, like if he thinks he nailed something, he’ll reference it for the next 6 months for every topic, he also will just word vomit a bunch of stats for 20 minutes straight and then end the segment with “does this mean anything? I don’t know. It could all be an anomaly. But we’ll see” which just makes the whole thing so pointless he’s got a real complex about never wanting to put himself in a position to be wrong, but will make sure you know if he’s talked about the possibility that happened before

He also sometimes get real lost in his own main character syndrome and will do a whole story that’s supposed to be self deprecating but you quickly realize was just a thinly veiled way for him to kind of brag about something he did or have it known

Kyle being exposed as a real scumbag has been hilarious

I just wish he did a little more of interviewing NBA dudes and NFL dudes and spending an entire show talking hoops or whatever. Granted, he does that, especially NFL. But he just does way too much with random one off movie dudes I've never heard of that he likes because he's trying to break into the industry with the writing thing.

I love the intro and the final segments. Most interviews are solid but I find myself fast forwarding more than I'd like because the guest is someone I'm not at all interested in or have never even heard of.

The thing he did with the dude from Curb Your Enthusiasm was one of the most cringe worthy moments in podcast history. Jeff Garlin was relentless. RR was obviously 100% serious then tried to play it off as a bit he was doing when it went off the rails and Garlin kept mocking him.

I listen Russillo's pod weekly. It's good, but I pick and choose what segments I listen too.

His life advice and going abroad segment always gives me a laugh.

Yeah he tried to say in his latest pod that was all some big planned thing but just felt like Ryen didn’t give a shite. I mean he was asking him questions about Larry’s time with Seinfeld I would’ve been like frick off too

No.

SVP and Russillo was such a fantastic show, and I don't think either of them have hit the same heights apart.

That is where you go when you get fired from a major broadcast.

It is like consultants in the business world.

I really enjoy it and rarely miss an episode. Listening now while at the gym in fact. Have liked RR since the SVP days, got cold on the show when RR was paired with Danny Kanell, then got back into it when he was solo again. Feel like the quality of the show has increased substantially since he moved to Manhattan Beach and linked up with the Ringer.

Even had one of my life advice submissions read on the show a while back.
