I've believed for a while this is a good strategy for teams. You can't be good without a QB. Draft a bunch one year, play the numbers game, and let them shake out.

The situation with Deion could be a problem, but in a vacuum it's solid.

I heard a stat that something like 58 QBs started an NFL game last year. There is a need to have a couple.

Looking at Cleveland's depth chart this does provide more depth, but quality over quantity it is not.

Sometimes I wonder how some front offices can be so dumb, and then I read shite like this and realize how much more dumb some people can be. Incredible stuff

You would agree that an NFL team can't be good without a franchise QB, right?

This is not a bad strategy in a year with a deep pool of qb prospects.

Terrible strategy this year with one of the weakest qb draft class ever.

It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out and who they keep.

I don't mind picking two qbs but why not just take him in the 3rd if you wanted a qb.

There is no way they had Gabriel graded higher.

They drafted two QBs that need to develop, both can’t get enough reps to develop, in fact, it’s almost certain both can’t even be on the roster with their current QBs on they have.

So tell me how this is such a great idea

I’d rather take my chances on a QB in rounds 3-5 than the first round.

It’s a crapshoot who will pan out.

It's a monumentally bigger crapshoot in rds 3-5. Like basically a 40% chance vs 4%.

Cowboys Troy Aikman and Steve Walsh
Redskins RG3 and Kirk Cousins
Broncos Matt Mauck and Bradlee Van Pelt
Packers Brian Brohm and Matt Flynn
49ers took Giovanni Carmazzi and Tim Ratty, one before one after Tom Brady

Another point to add, DeShaun Watson is signed through 2029 I believe.

They need a rookie QB to hit to have any chance this decade.

I believe they restructured the deal where they can cut him after this season
