Has anyone watched "Year of the Bull", a 2003 documentary about a Miami H.S FB team?

This shite is nuts:
Video of the coaching these players received

quote:
The star football player at Northwestern High School in the rough Miami neighborhood of Liberty City is a talented but troubled senior named Taurean Charles. A hard-hitting linebacker made tougher by the verbal, mental and physical roughness of his coaches' training practices, Charles has the potential to be a college football star and may even follow several of Northwestern High's previous stars into the NFL. But his academic troubles off the field could jeopardize what he's worked so hard for.

Yes it is legit. He was indeed a bull, and beat his coach up. He signed with Florida but got kicked off the team.

So much talent on the field.

I honestly can’t beleive a lot those kids would grow up to beleive violence and fear is what it takes to be respected, leading them to a life of crime
Truly shocked. When I see the support these coaches had on YouTube by the inner city community , I’m more shocked. SHOCKED

Every school needs a coach like that... But just one.
Football is a violent sport and you need to be violent to play it well

That's fricked up. I understand the verbal part, a lot of football coaches get after your arse. Maybe not to that extent though. But the physical part is fricked up. Those coaches are POS.

Anyone from the team make it big?

My HS football coach used to get in our faces and talk a lot of shite, including personal insults, but never put his hands on a kid.
Not sure how anyone could defend this.
