I took my son to a Flyers game in Philadelphia and was not met with any hostility for rooting for the other team. There’s no wokeness or political bias within watching the two teams play.

Since we’re from Louisiana, what team makes most sense to root for? His mom is from Maine - so it feels like the Bruins are the most logical choice.

When I got into hockey as a kid I picked the Bruins because it was Happy Gilmore's favorite team. Wish I had a better story but no one in my family knew shite about the NHL so I was left to my own devices. When ESPN stopped carrying hockey I watched a decent bit of Stars games because it was the only consistent team on TV in the area on FSN.

Now with streaming it's easier to follow any team you want. Maybe just watch some games from random teams and see if there's any players or teams your kid latches on to. McDavid on the Oilers will be the face of the league for a while for example.

This definitely rules-out MLB, NFL, and NBA.

MLB is such a disappointment. None of their fans want to see it but they keep shoving woke in their fan’s face.

Eh, most things are fun with enough beer. Bit I will say that while middle-aged fans look ridiculous in game jerseys of most sports, hockey jerseys are sharp.

I had partial season tickets for the Blackhawks for years when I lived there. This is accurate.

I'm from SWLA and 30 years ago I picked Buffalo.

My bro went with the Red Wings.

We loved NHL 94 on the SNES.

Hopefully the Houston team when one gets awarded.

frick the Stars.

The Wild have maybe the best logo next to the Blackhawks. They are a younger team and play fast and are fun.

Panthers are a great team from the South. Colors and logo kinda suck.

Lightning colors are great and remind me of the Hawks from the Mighty Ducks so I couldn't pick them as a kid of course.

NY Rangers despite being in NY have a very classic Americana feel.

People love to hate the Bruins so if you like to pick the fringe go there. Flyers would be a second to hate. Colors are awesome though. Great logo.

Leafs and Montreal are classic. Leafs basically blow it every year I. The first round.

Kraken color are awesome.

Vegas name and scheme seem very meh. Can't get on board.

Islanders old logo is amazing.

Oilers I like and likey my favorite from Canada for some reason. Maybe from a kid.

LA Kings are also classic but from the west coast it's hard to stay up for games like the Kraken.

Enjoy the NHL. I love it. I'd love to see Houston get a team.

I agree, only been two hockey games both in the 2010 Olympics.

When Germany played Sweden we sat in the third row, in front of press row mid ice. Next day went to USA vs Canada was two rows from the top.

I picked the Predators. For obvious reason.

It’s crazy Houston doesn’t have a team.

Avalanche are a great team to watch.

That was my team when playing Wayne Gretzky 3D hockey
