How dumb is it that a team is gonna go 8-0 in the bubble and not make it?

What were the odds of that? Seriously, does anyone know or have a tweet with that info?

I honestly feel bad for the suns.

Almost like having a losing record over 9 times as many games has something to do with it

They had no business being involved in the first place. Them going 0-8 and not making it literally proves that

Yeah they entered the bubble at 25-39.

I really want the Suns to get in but they shouldn’t get a pass from that.

blazers aren't losing.

yeah they weren't good before the bubble. that's irrelevant. the bubble was basically constructed so that only the teams that had a chance (even a tiny one) were there. it's insane that someone went 8-0 and isn't gonna qualify.

the entire point is that if they weren't gonna make it at 8-0, then they shouldn't be there in the first place.

Maybe don't suck through the first 90% of the season?

I'd like to see a deeper play-in pool but I don't feel bad for any team that doesn't make it in the playoffs. Don't suck for most of the season and this doesn't happen.

Need to be given the 8th seed in the East.

Not dumb. Unlucky? Sure. They mathematically had a shot and the results didn't fall their way because being a Suns fans is torture.

What is dumb: The #1 overall pick getting suspended 1/3 of the season. Losing back to back games to the Pistons and Warriors.

any suns guys reporting or tweeting on odds before bubble vs. odds of going 8-0 and not making it? im just curious honestly if this is actually shocking or not.

my gut feeling is that it is an incredibly rare outcome. not going 8-0, but going 8-0 and not making it.

They absolutely should've been involved. They're in the playoffs if a result goes their way later today. They deserved to be in the bubble. They don't deserve to get in regardless of other results, though.

So what’s your complaint?

Blazers lose tonight and they’re in. That would be a tiny chance

Just heard Ernie say that if Blazers lose tonight they're out and PHX is in the play-in, so they have a shot. Don't know what more you could ask for as a PHX fan.

i meant more in control of their own destiny. if you were gonna go 8-0 and not make it, you shouldn't have been invited.

which is why i want to know how wild this actually is, if at all.

Why would a team that wasn't mathematically eliminated not be involved? The Suns just proved to everyone that they belonged. They went 8-0. If they get into the playoffs, Washed is going home in Round 1.

Would have been more unfair for the grizz to play a bunch of teams who were trying while the suns has teams resting a bunch of players and rolling over for them. That would have been really sad to see if it had played out like that.

You won't be able to find those odds anywhere.
But I can piece it together and give you an approximate value if you know the teams they were competing with and their records in the bubble.
