If anyone? Or would you keep rooting for them in their new city?

For me:

NFL- Saints
NBA- Knicks
MLB- Idk, probably nobody
NHL- probably nobody, maybe an expansion team if one came around

why does it need to change? I'd still be for the same team or nobody.

It doesn’t, but for example if the Pelicans moved to Seattle or Vegas and changed their name I don’t think I’d still root for them.

Same with the Niners, I sort of kind of root for the Saints as it is so it wouldn’t be a tough transition

I have up the idea of “my” team long ago. I just want to watch a good game when it comes to sports.

Only reason I'm a Cowboys fan. If the Oilers never moved, I'd be an Oilers fan. I was a kid and I wasn't rooting for team in Tennessee. The natural move was the other team in Texas who then started winning Super Bowls.

It’s an absolute travesty that the league didn’t make Bud give Houston the Oilers name back. I always kind of dug the Oilers growing up.

You don’t even live in San Francisco so why would them moving change anything for you?

NFL: I would keep rooting for the same team (Packers/Saints)

NBA/MLB: Would just turn into a casual fan with no preferred team. Was a diehard Brewers fan growing up in WI, but after moving to California, North Carolina, and then Louisiana, it was nearly impossible to watch them unless I paid for MLB TV. So I just became a casual fan. Same thing would happen if the Pelicans moved

I missed maybe 2 or 3 rams games from 2000 until they left. I haven't watched a game nor Super bowl since. I dont want to root for another team. I just want to root for my team which no longer exist.

If the Saints moved, I’d probably follow them.

Or just not give a shite and it would be all Fantasy Football and gambling from here on out.

At this point, 30 years in, I have a pretty significant emotional attachment to the franchise as it is. If they became the San Diego 49ers or some shite that would be an abomination.

If the McNair's sold the Texans and the new owners somehow got the Oilers rights back, I'd probably ditch the Cowboys and become a fan. I could never root for a McNair owned team though. At least Jerruh tries to win.

That’s just weird without a personal attachment to the city or area in which the team is located. Like living there or growing up there.
