First thing: John Stockton is the greatest PG of all-time, not Magic.

First thing: holding the all-time assists record does not equal being the greatest PG of all time.

Hard to say. With every team shooting so many 3pt shots, and teams not having big men in the lane, the court is more wide open than ever. It's much easier for cutters to go to the rim with no classic centers currently playing in the NBA.

As great a rim defender as Victor Wembanyama is, His league leading 254 blocks this past season ties him for 54th place. That means players had more blocks in a season 53 different times. .Theo Ratliff's 307 blocks in 2003 is the only season since 2000 in the top 20, at number 20. Marcus Camby's 285 blocks in 2007 is 30th on the list. Ben Wallaces 278 in 2001 is number 37. Hassan Whiteside's 269 in 2015 is tied for number 44, and is the most recent before Wembanyama's season. Ratliff mad the list again at 49th with 262.

The top shot blockers from the 2000's and 2010's, plus Wemby::

The top shot blockers from the 1980's and 1990's:

We are trying to compare numbers for players playing different games. Points were hard to come by and so were assists. Who can say guys that played in the 1980's and 1990's wouldn't have had higher assist numbers in today's game. I have to question whether some of today's scorers and assist leaders would have the same numbers in the 1980's and 1990's.

For me Stockton is the best ever. It’s not all about trick passes. Consistency of Stockton made him the best.

The game is so uncontested now it's hard to say.

Go check out some Bird and Magic passing on YouTube in case you're unfamiliar to what greatness is all about.

He is the best passing front court player ever imo. For sure.

Mark Eaton averaged 5.6 blocks/game in ‘84-‘85. That’s just fricking insane.

1. White Chocolate
2. Magic
3. Maravich
4. Stockton
5. Nash

Honorable Mention: Kidd, Jokic

I lean towards guards over big men because of the degree of difficulty it takes to make those plays in the open court, against more athletic defenders, constantly on the move. Jokic is the best passing big man and makes the absolute best full-court passes you'll ever see.

Stats say stocky I think

There needs to be some context here. Best passer and most assists are not the same thing.

Not someone I would put at the top of the list but I do remember hearing some former teammates brag about how he knew where all of his players wanted the ball and how much speed and spin to put on it and how that was a very underrated aspect to passing - it's not just finding the right guy and getting him the ball but knowing he likes it high, on his right hand or fast or soft or on the bounce, etc.

I've heard WRs make similar comments about QBs

Several guys you could make a case for but when it comes to degree of difficulty and putting on a show, it’s white chocolate. Please watch his YouTube reel. It’s absolutely insane. Steve Nash is underrated as well.
