Good for Joe.
Modern NFL rules dull the impact of these types of awards imo. WR push off almost every play - big catch. DB breathes wrong on a WR - Flag.
Just the way it is.

I mean you may have a legit argument when comparing Burrow against Marino, but the rules you cite started to shift in the Brady / Manning era. Those two GOATS did not achieve what Burrow has, so it’s a legit accomplishment.

He has a couple nasty receivers for sure, but lost Joe Mixon and his offensive line is a bunch of paper mache marionette dolls on ice skates.

Which is just patently false. If you watch bengals games, you'd know burrow takes a beating every game and never gets calls.
Burrow has not been the beneficiary of the rule changes.

If the refs didn’t pick up the Chiefs and move them into easy field goal range when Mahomes got breathed on a half step out of bounds, while in that same game the Chiefs rushers were allowed to take two full steps and hit Burrow in the chest after he passes the ball… the Bengals would have played the Eagles in the Super Bowl two season ago.
And the refs also picked up Mahomes team and led them down the field on a 4th and 17 prayer to defeat the Bengals in week 2 this season.

Their two tackles, Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims are very good players. They just have arguably the worst interior OL in the NFL. I wonder if they draft an OT like Josh Simmons in the first round and kick Brown to the inside which would alleviate their offensive line issues.
