Jury intimidation guaranteed

Only two players from Baylor have been found guilty.

Rape is always incredibly difficult to prove without DNA evidence.
It’s harsh I admit, but I’m an advocate for all rape allegations without DNA evidence or an independent eyewitness being dismissed outright. It’s the only way to deal with them in a judicial system based on a presumption of innocence.

Well the way ESPN handled the story you would think the team raped and pillaged the city of Waco. Pretty odd how this story has completely disappeared as well.

Does this mean LSU can hire Art Briles as OC now?

Two too many. You are right though that ESPN painted this as the entire football team was full of rapists.
Tevin Elliot is a TPOS and deserves to be in jail.
Remind me on the Sam U case again though. Found guilty, appellate court overturned the conviction, then another appellate court upheld the conviction?

Yes, Sam U was found guilty, had it overturned and later the guilty verdict was reinstated
And I agree that Elliott should rot for life and not 20 years.
The Board of Regents are also scum. My problem is that the team, who had a lot of innocent people on it, was scapegoated and punished unfairly. There were bad eggs, but it was not nearly as bad as the media portrayed and they destroyed the program for a lot of shite the regents did.

How does this have 8 downvotes? A he-said, she-said case should always be a not guilty based on the burden of proof in a criminal trial.

Well that's dumb.
DNA is not the only evidence that matters, for starters. Secondly, not all word is created equal.

It doesn't have to be equal. I can believe the accuser far more than the accused, but if that's the only evidence, I'm acquitting the Defendant, because the beyond a reasonable doubt standard cannot be met imo. Putting someone in prison based solely on a statement from a victim is precisely how innocent men spend 30+ years in prison for crimes they didn't commit.

Law makers in Missouri are going to make sure, when a title 9 case is brought on, that the accused gets every chance to get representation and be able to defend himself.
MANY times, the accused are thrown out of school, with even shaky evidence, w/o even building a defense. Law will make sure they get a fair shake, before being thrown out of school.
Law isn't to protect rapist, it's to make sure both sides are heard. Virginia dealio is a perfect example of accused never getting a fair shake, until he got a lawyer involved.

This is still an issue, but not nearly as big of an issue if there wasn’t a coverup of sorts involved and if the University just listened to the women that came forward in the first place.
Saying only two people were guilty is true, but there were multiple reported offenses.

Makes one wonder if any weren't reported with the culture that was allowed to persist there. Sucks for the student athletes that suffered for it, but the program seems to be headed in the right direction again. Baylor shook things up in the Big 12 for a while and you know the school in Austin got tired of losing to them. Maybe that played into it, maybe not. Baylor seemed fine playing henchman for them when A&M left for the SEC.
