Idk. They have the money. Just depends if Rickets opens his wallet up or not.

Wtf are you talking about? The Cubs are the 4th highest valued MLB team worth 4.6B. They are a global brand that get people from all over the world visiting Wrigley. They can afford Tucker’s contract….

Meanwhile the Astros change their uniforms every 5 years and play at stadium named after a juice box. Even after a dynasty run still have zero national following because they play in a shitty, boring, hot, wide as hell & with no public transportation city.

Holy shite, didn’t realize Astros fans were this butthurt lol. I thought they had accepted that the run was over and were ok with the long rebuild that’s about to happen. Be happy guys, you have Cam Smith. Too bad the Cubs had to give you the only prospect in the current system that will make an impact in MLB LOL

After having checked their offensive production so far this year, I can see where their frustration is coming from.

They could really use Kyle.

Oh it’s terrible but what do they expect? The window is gone. They’re in 2022 Cubs territory. They need to be concerned with how putrid the farm is. There is zero help on the way

He’s signing for more than 480. He’ll make more than Vlad easy. Probably around 600

So then, why ask the absurdly stupid question, "What were the Astros thinking?"

6th highest payroll in the league yet the 2nd worst record in the top 10, ahead of only Atlanta. Very unfortunate situation they find themselves in.

He’s an idiot. Vlad is 25 years old. That’s why he got paid that way. Tucker is a better player but him being 28 plays a huuuuge role in the $. He was gonna get 350 range, now it’s probably 450ish. Unless he wins MVP, he’s not getting 600. Besides, what does that even mean? With all this deferred money BS, 600 ain’t 600 anyway. Whatever it is, the Cubs need to be the ones that give it to him. They’ve been in dire need of this lineup changing bat since the 2016 core left. They can’t let him walk

Also, whatever you give Tucker, I’d say roughly cut it in 1/2 & offer it to PCA right the frick now. Kid is a superstar. Give him 10/200 RIGHT NOW
