quote:

“Under no circumstance, we all know this shouldn’t have happened,” Sanders said about his slide out of the first round, during which two other quarterbacks were selected: Miami’s Cam Ward at No. 1 to the Tennessee Titans and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart at No. 25 to the New York Giants.

“I feel like, with God, anything is possible. Everything is possible. I don’t feel like this happened for no reason. All this is, of course, fuel to the fire,” Sanders said, later adding, “We understand we’re on to bigger and better things. Tomorrow is the day, we’re going to be happy regardless.

The only cliché he missed was “the richer get rich.”

He's been told his whole life he's the bee's knees. A little humble pie might be good for him in the long run.

"Tomorrow is the day."

Maybe tomorrow's morrow.

Or the CFL.

Who's "we" ?

We apparently doesn't include any NFL head coaches, GM's, or owners. Because they've all passed him over 3 times straight now.

This sort of entitlement attitude is likely why he's sliding down draft boards.

He'll roll into training camp expecting to be anointed the starter and if he isn't he and his dad are going to bitch to the media.

No NFL team is gonna put up with that for a somewhat marginal prospect.

Dude thought he was going to be drafted today. Imagine looking at ESPN’s best available player chart and seeing your name at #1 for the whole day and no one drafts you. Bad look for ESPN too.

Think back on all the pressure Deion put on the media if they said something bad about his kid. Remember the local CBS reporter who Deion wouldnt take questions from because CBS said something negative about him? The stooges at ESPN were scared of Coach Clown.

I don't understand what's going on, all the 'so called" experts say he's a sure thing but no one wants him due to character ?

It's the NFL, half the league would be in prison if they couldn't ball, he hasn't murdered anyone yet.

like some others

I watched him play and never thought he was that great, a 13-12 record at Colorado against meh competition. But what do I know

Character matters more at QB than it does at other positions

yea it’s definitely not the character issues alone. I think it plays a part but if he had actual talent none of them would care.

This is a different component of “character”.

Wherever he ends up, he will bring a Kim Kardashian level media circus with him.

He could destroy a program with his ego.

Do you see Sanders rolling in and acting like the humble rookie ready to learn?

He is a Mel Kiper princess.

It'll be something if he ended up as Mr. Irrelevant.

Meh.

Vick, Favre, Big Ben were all low character and high production.

A program even picked Cam Newton, which means they view Sanders and his media circus as even worse than that.
