According to the Guiness book of world records.
This game took place on February 13, 2017, when West Virginia traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the Kansas Jayhawks in Allen Fieldhouse, which is known as one of the most intimidating home court advantages in all of sports.
According to the Guiness Book of World Records “The loudest crowd roar at an indoor sports event was 130.4 decibels, and was achieved by fans of the Kansas Jayhawks (USA) at the men’s basketball game vs. West Virginia, in Lawrence, Kansas, USA, on 13 February 2017. The Guinness World Records successful record attempt of 130.4 dbA took place before the game tipped off, however the excitable crowd’s noise was monitored peaking at 129.2 dbA at the end of a very intense game.”
Ranked #13, the Mountaineers lost the game 84-80 to the #3 ranked Jayhawks in overtime.

I don't think it was louder than when I saw Ozzy Osbourne in 1981 with Randy Rhoads. My ears were ringing for three days after that.

Saints-Rams NFC championship in the dome has top be top 5 if not #1. Never been part of of game that came close to being that loud. You could feel your bones vibrating

The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana reached a decibel level of 136.6 during a 2013 game against the San Francisco 49ers, which set a Guinness World Record for the loudest stadium at the time.

I have never heard it louder than when Gleason blocked the punt against the Falcons! And I was at the Earthquake game and those two Saints playoff games mentioned above.

Yeah man I’m calling BS. There is no way a stadium that holds 13k or so is louder than the Superdome in a playoff game.

Any of the monster truck shows I’ve been to at the Superdome over the years

Most Guiness records are stunts set-up in advance as the team invites Guiness reps to be there and measure..... There are tons of events we don't know about because it wasn't some official try but organic.
Allen Fieldhouse going for GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for loudest crowd roar on Feb. 13
Representatives from the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS will be in attendance to see if Allen Fieldhouse can set the world record for the loudest crowd roar at an indoor sports event.
Jayhawk fans may be familiar with the record as Kentucky set it when it played host to Kansas earlier this season on Jan. 28, 2017, in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Rupp Arena measured at 126.4 decibels just before tip of the Kansas victory.. In the previous record, game hadn't even started.
So fans are at the games which they packed in simply to have a coordinated roar at a certain time to break the record.

I've been to one monster truck show, it was outdoors at the county fair, and it was LOUD. I can't imagine that noise echoing around an indoor venue.

A coordinated event with the Guiness representatives present? Pretty tainted record.

AC/DC at UNO Lakefront Arena on their “Money Talks” tour. Pretty sure it was early 1991. My ears rang for days because our seats were by the big guns that fired in “For those about to Rock.”

An under-rated one was the Saints-Lions playoff game in 2011, 2 nights before LSU/Alabama title game.
There was a lot of scoring and the game was exciting, but I've never been to a game with sustained loudness that lasted through the whole game. (I wasn't at any of the other Saints playoff games)
