Does he have to go to the Event with the older man too? Do they have to share a motel room as well?

ooof…. I was about to say “you took your wife to the masters?!”

I love my wife and all but she probably isn’t in the top ten on the list of people I’d rather hang out with at a sporting event

Hope it’s legit but it makes zero sense for the older man.

Buddy. I only got to go one day. That was Sunday. The guy whose badge got confiscated was on Saturday. Got to hear all about it when I arrived at the house at 5:00pm. Dude was catching hell and the badge owner/ house owner was in a bit of a panic. He ended up driving over Sunday morning and going to the gate with the group so he would be there in person.

Thank you to everyone who has offered a serious response to my serious question. It sounds like if you are legitimately acquainted with the badge holder then you should be able to get in. My only concern was renting a house or hotel, driving all the way to Augusta, and then being turned away at the gate.

To those who only want to make pedophile jokes- although my son will always be my little boy, he is now a grown arse man who only received this offer because of how proficient he is with a firearm. He is the last target a "groomer" is going to seek out. It must be pretty sad to go around every day with this sort of jaded view of life. The badge holder in question is older than both his grandfathers, likely has more money than he will ever spend, and just wants to beat his buddies when they meet at the range on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The man probably doesn't even know what Stubhub is.

They're trying to shut down scalpers, but they absolutely support the transfer of tickets for at or below face value.

Is this the Masters Series badges that have been passed down through the family?

He has owned the two badges since the 70's. He hasn't been able to go himself for several years now. He gives them to family and friends to use. This year he gave them to his nephew and great-nephew.

I know it’s 3 years out. But you can authenticate the badges from my understanding. Then get it in writing that as payment he gets them for that year. Worse case of something happens (it’s 3 years) he wasted 4 hours on some golf.
