How can it be both? Thats a serious question

Do you not think a person can be a dick and boring at the same time? Just because a guy is a dick doesn't make him interesting.

Same for Brooks Koepka. You listen to him and Rory on Full Swig and they just come off as tools and completely uninteresting..

Again, as a person off the course, not as a golfer.

There aren't very many golfers that are all that interesting off the course. I could probably count them on one hand. Tiger isn't even interesting on a regular basis. He's only interesting when a scandal comes up once every 10 years or so or he gets hurt. Personality wise, he's kind of blah like most professional golfers.

So what golfer on full swing did you find interesting that is also capable of drawing big ratings and a lot of people on the course?

I really don’t care much about anything off the course. Hell I’m still a huge Tiger fan lol.

What does a person drawing ratings have to do with the golfers I choose to like? If that was a requirement then the only golfer I'd ever be able to like for my entire time of watching golf would be Tiger.

That's where we're different, I factor that in a little. Don't know why that's such a big deal.

So my previous answer of stating that a guy can be a dick and boring at the same time wasn't good enough?

Current favorite golfers are probably Joel Dahmen, Bryson, and Scottie.

I agree. That's why the simulator golf league sucks. They are forcing these guys to try and be entertainers and they just aren't. There's nothing wrong with that, that's not what they get paid to do. It's like trying to make Brad Pitt a stand up comedian. That's not what he does, he's just a good actor, not a comedian. These guys are just good golfers, not entertainers.

Brother, you just messing with me now

I love Scottie. But you are going to argue Rory is a snooze fest and not Scottie?

Almost all of them are boring. Not all of them come across as dick heads. Even fewer of them are thin skinned and have had run ins with patrons and fans.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say the reason they don’t like Rory is because he’s boring. Being boring just doesn’t help when he’s also been a bit of a bitch at times.

I mean I 100% knew that's what you were looking for, for me to name a boring golfer. Yea, Scottie is boring, I agree, but... he's not a dickhead. He seems like a down to earth dude and humble guy. Plus I love his golf game.

I'd say a huge percentage of them do. But it's an elitist sport, kinda comes with the territory

eh, there are plenty of clips around of high profile golfers not named Rory McIlroy getting fans ejected from events for stupid petty reasons. It's kind of like the "Tiger cusses more than other golfers." Yeah you see it a lot more because more eyes and cameras are on him than everyone else.

I'm not a huge Rory fan or anything, but I don't think he's especially dick headish or childish compared to most tour pros. He's just in the spotlight more than others so you see it more

I think the best way to truly judge them is how the other players talk about them. They actually know them, not us

Correct. I don’t like those guys either.

I legitimately hated Sergio. I wanted him to miss every cut in every event.

I don’t hate Rory. I just don’t like him. I don’t like Justin Thomas very much. Don’t like Koepka either. Patrick Reed is probably my least favorite now. Hell, I disliked Bryson for a long time, but have come around to him lately.

I’ve got friends who like every one of the guys I mentioned, even one good buddy who LOVES Patrick Reed. I don’t argue with him or try and change his mind. It doesn’t make sense to me, but it is what it is.

Pride and a few others just can’t accept that people don’t like certain golfers for different reasons, and it’s not anyone’s place to gatekeep who you can and cannot like on a personal level.

I was one of those 19.5 million! In a world of around 10 billion or so I feel pretty special!

Thats great

If he said he loved Reed because of his honesty and integrity that also wouldn’t make sense

I never questioned who he likes or dislikes, but the reason absolutely can be questioned when it doesn’t make logical sense

The fact you actually 100% believes this is just insane. You are not only a fricking lunatic, but a narcissist to boot!

Who gives a shite why he doesn’t like him? He can not like him because his hair is turning grey if he wants.

This is so silly. Pretending like all reasons are logical is ridiculous

“I like Lebron because he is humble”

If I stated that thread it would be ruthlessly mocked. The fact you are acting like you and others would “support my reasons because who am I to judge” is laughable

And that would be fine

What wouldn’t make sense is if he hated him for his hair turning gray when his hair actually wasn’t turning gray

God damn dude.

Just because you don’t think he’s boring does not mean everyone has to agree with you.
