Lol they gave up an easy 120 points to Memphis last night in a game where Ja Morant was 7 for 24 from the field and only had 15 points. Hey Nico, where's muh dEFeNse??

The trade was completely inexplicable had has been discussed ad nauseam, but it couldn’t have worked out worse every step of the way for Nico.
And it’s been truly hilarious

Keep in mind that their best defensive player, Kyrie Irving, was out.

How could it have worked out differently?

Luka could have no absolutely gone off in his return to Dallas
And Nico could have not held a press conference saying how important defense is for his team to summarily get torched on defense

This picture, and the 30 second clip that goes along with it are pure cinema. The camera guy earned his paycheck.

There was no way this wasn’t gonna happen lol
And there was I way Anthony David wasn’t going to get hurt

Celtics didn't even reach 110 a single game in last years finals. they act like the mavs were LSU defense with Jayden daniels

Wait, what? Suddenly Kyrie is their "best defender"?

Again, this trade was never about basketball nor was it Nico's decision. It was a decision made by owners who know nothing about the teams nor do they care.

He’s joking but Mavs probably win if Kyrie played. He gets an easy 24+ against Memphis.
Probably gets a couple of good looks to Lively too. He was terrible last night.

Isn’t that kind of the point though? You’re putting your franchise in the hands of a 30+ small point guard and a 30+ center, both have which have a LONG history of not being on the court.
And you accomplished that by trading a 25 year old multiple time all NBAer face of the franchise that was in the Finals and WCF the last two seasons

…best defensive player…..Kyrie Irving…..

Relax.
His defense sucks
Had one year left, then was gone anyway, and they would get ZERO
They knew they would struggle thus year, but now they'll have room to get 2 really good players.
Hes great, but not committed physically

Luka would have stayed at Dallas forever.

Sure, if they would give him the max deal which leaves a team w no room to build.
So max deals need to go to all around great players.
Seems the gamble is working, long term.
Put it like this. If jordan, Kobe, etc, would have been traded to this LA team, they would have made them noticeably better, if not the team to beat.
Big lazy goes there and they basically stayed status quote.
Hes a super tough match up and can score anywhere...then not much else

This is objectively false. And to make you look even more like an idiot, not only was their record much better, their defense has improved since the Luka trade.
This has to be a troll
