Max Homa splits with longtime caddie Joe Greiner

Homa had been pretty awful for the last year or so and fired his caddie today, who he has seemingly been a good friend for years.
He took a bag from Cobra last year for equipment and hired a new coach and had made some major swing changes, that seemingly aren’t working.
Pretty weak move, in my opinion, just comes off as blaming someone else for his bad play. Your caddie isn’t making you swing the club worse and the guy you’re getting rid of is highly respected. If it’s mental, sure, change some stuff up and just get a new vibe. But this is mainly physical for Homa.

I believe Max switched to Cobra this year, long after his play has been falling. It seems to me that he is trying everything to fix his problems. Moving to a new caddie just seems like it's next on the list. He talks about Joe a lot. They seem to have been friends for a long time. I assume this was amicable.

The caddie most likely understands.
Homa is arse and needs to shake things up. This is part of it for some guys.
