There’s a reason Mel Kiper has been doing this and not running a NFL franchise for the last 30 years.

He doesn’t know what the frick he’s talking about.

Kiper isn't doing this for Shadeur now, he is doing it to save his own credibility as an analyst. Might be too late for that.

I mean Jaxon Dart just got drafted and he’s trying to justify why it was a mistake..! Like congratulate the young man.

Yeah, that was nauseating. So disrespectful. Couldn't even give Dart or Giants fans their few minutes of time to celebrate or even discuss anything positive about the pick.

But it is not just ESPN. Fox and Klatt shoved the Deion, Colorado, Shadeur thing down our throats for two years as well.

That all said, aside from the disrespect to Dart and the Giants, Mel Kiper melting down all night was the most entertaining part of this year's first round. I thought he was going to have a stroke on air at one point.

I don't really have a strong opinion on Dart, we shall see. I'm just glad they passed on Sanders.

Mel has always been a hack. Lots of these journos can’t stand to be proven wrong in any capacity.
How he managed to keep his job at ESPN when they were downsizing can only be explained as he's a closet homo and has the closet goods on ESPN CEO James Spitari.

I don’t remember Mel being such a hack, but maybe I just wasn’t paying attention.

Hes always been a hack. He just invented the job so we had no frame of reference.

It's really disappointing that ESPN framed the entire draft narrative around Sanders not getting drafted once the Steelers didn't pick him.

It started way before the Steelers pick and unfortunately will be all we hear about for God only knows how long.

What you saw was the worst part of Kiper.

He gets very very attached and emotional about how he projects a particular player and FREAKS OUT when the NFL doesn't agree.

He gets mad and makes the entire night all about him. He takes away from the biggest night of other young men's lives and unnecessarily attacks them.

Mel's the same guy who pumped up Brady Quinn's eval just because he was in cahoots with Quinn's agent.

Sanders won't fall past the Saints in the 2nd. Cleveland may take him with the first pick.

Doesn't matter where he gets picked now. It is still all we are going to hear about regardless.

Kiper is lucky to even be around the draft his accuracy rate is so laughable. He’s just some Baltimore CC alum who never wore a jockstrap and somehow has gotten some relevance over the years.
And the more he cries here, the more people realize he doesn’t really do anything noteworthy but make some draft predictions with about 20% accuracy if that.

That would be so on brand for the Saints, pre-Kellen but I think he’s too smart to want to deal with all that.

Whoever picks him will probably have to handle Deion on the sidelines cross checking all the play calling.

Iwas begging for Sanders to get drafted just so ESPN would talk about something different. My god that was an embarrassing broadcast. Made the whole draft about Shadeur.

Reminded me of the Johnny Manziel draft. Gruden talked about Manziel after every single pick. Legit thought he was going to go home after Manziel was picked because that's all he knew to talk about.
