All 1 seeds
The only other time it happened in the modern field of 64 was 2008.
Kansas
Memphis
North Carolina
UCLA
Kansas vs. North Carolina was the game where Kansas built a 40-12 lead and Billy Packer told everyone to turn their TV off.
Memphis easily beat UCLA.
But the Final was classic for Jayhawks fans.

Only one good elite eight game too

You guys are missing the point. No one is upset #1 seeds are in the FF. But, if the system devolves to where only power teams advance it's going to lose its luster. NIL and the portal are threatening to do just that.

NIL current program is not good for anybody, but don't see where it hurt the tourney....

I get it, I just think people are massively overvaluing this based on a two season sample size. Maybe it won’t be as often but upsets will still happen and random teams will get still get hot then get demolished in the sweet 16.

I think you'd have to admit that we are largely entering uncharted territory with NIL and portal factors. But, the early returns in college football certainly hasn't enhanced the game's appeal with fans. College basketball is a much more fringe sport. It's regular season ratings have cratered from where they were 30 years ago. If the tournament's attraction starts to slide, the whole sport's future becomes threatened.

The problem isn't that four power conference #1 seeds made it.
The problem is that Florida were the only one that was appointment television (and they have been in two GEMS of games).
It's a down tournament, but it will be back.
The FAU/SDSU tourney was also an outlier for other reasons.

It becomes a regional sport where a swath of the mid South cares from the Northeast to Tobacco Road to Appalachia to the Midwest… further north cares about hockey, further south cares about baseball

I have no problem that the elite 8 was littered with high seeds and the F4 is all#1... In fact, I much prefer it this way.
I have a serious problem with how we got here... Good mid major players hit the transfer portal and go to power teams, thus crippling the mid majors. This is worse for college basketball than the 1 and done model.

I'm grateful Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin came to Michigan, but they should have been wrecking shop at Yale and Florida Atlantic.

The lack of upsets hasn't been the issue
It's the lack of competitive games.
There have only been three or four really good games the entire tournament.

Yeah, this is so boring. I hate that these two number one seeds are playing this game right now.
