Oscar De La Hoya comes to mind.
Dude always seemed to lose big fights.
Also, Joe Namath

Jeter is overrated, but still deserving of being in the HOF.

I'd actually say Joe Namath, stats and production did not match the reputation

True, but the NFL was the first pro sports league to embrace style over substance.

Swann is 222nd on the all-time receiving yardage list.
Opponents left him one-on-one to stop the Steelers great run game.
He made some highlight catches in Super Bowls...
But nobody feared him, he didn't change the game. He was just an average Joe receiver that happened to play on a Dynasty.

I put Swan over Namath because at least Namath gets legit credit for changing the entire path of the NFL. If the jets don’t win that Super Bowl and give the AFL legitimacy no telling the future

Jordan
ok real answer is Joe Namath

Stallworth was the better receiver and a shame he got in after Swann albeit 1 year. Swann played at USC and was little more known than Stallworth who played at a HBCU. But Swann became the “Hollywood” of the team and made highlight catches. He was also part of that 1974 Steelers draft class. Is he HOF material? Compared to his wr peers of his time, sure, maybe. He’s one of those selection, on the surface of stats, maybe not. What he represented at the time and who he played for and all. I get it.

If you want to pick a Yankee, you missed the obvious one.
Jeter is so overrated he's underrated at this point. 15+ years of above average counts for something. He was never the best at his position, but he was far from the worst.
If we're talking overrated Yankees I'd argue multiple guys over Jeter.
Guy somehow slayed literally all the pussy and never got caught up in the back pages. That's honestly more impressive than his baseball career.

100% rigged game. It was the future and the NFL knew it.

Joe Namath, who threw significantly more interceptions than touchdown passes for his career.

Dude hit 3 home runs in his final full game
