What were some of the best All-Star game lineups in history? Here are some of the favorites from the ones I looked up.
1934 AL All-Stars
1. Charlie Gehringer 2B
2. Heinie Manush LF
3. Babe Ruth RF
4. Lou Gehrig 1B
5. Jimmie Foxx 3B
6. Al Simmons CF
7. Joe Cronin SS
8. Bill Dickey C
9. Lefty Gomez P
Every player in the lineup went on to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
1965 NL All-Stars
1. Willie Mays CF
2. Hank Aaron RF
3. Willie Stargell LF
4. Dick Allen 3B
5. Joe Torre C
6. Ernie Banks 1B
7. Pete Rose 2B
8. Maury Wills SS
9. Juan Marichal P
Star power at the top is hard to top along with Banks, Rose and Marichal makes this lineup one of the all-time greats.
1973 NL All-Stars
1. Joe Morgan 2B
2. Willie Mays CF
3. Hank Aaron RF
4. Willie Stargell LF
5. Johnny Bench C
6. Lee May 1B
7. Joe Torre 3B
8. Don Kessinger SS
9. Bob Gibson P
Starts to thin out towards the end but it's hard to find a better top five than this one.
1985 AL All-Stars
1. Rickey Henderson CF
2. Lou Whitaker 2B
3. George Brett 3B
4. Eddie Murray 1B
5. Cal Ripken SS
6. Dave Winfield RF
7. Jim Rice LF
8. Carlton Fisk C

Seven Hall of Famers along with Jack Morris and the criminally underrated Lou Whitaker.
1994 AL All-Stars
1. Roberto Alomar 2B
2. Wade Boggs 3B
3. Ken Griffey CF
4. Frank Thomas 1B

3. Edgar Martinez DH
4. Frank Thomas 1B

4. Mark McGwire 1B
5. Matt Williams 3B

4. Manny Ramirez RF
5. Jim Thome 1B

In '95 they may as well have had the Indians just play against the national league. It would have basically been the same.

They showed a documentary during a rain delay last week on that Indians team. They had 8 guys hit 300 or better, and led the league in every hitting stat.
