This is his 5th season playing at an all NBA level.

All the people ahead of him in the GOAT conversation either did it for 12+ years or have 4+ championships.

Jokic deserves 2nd place MVP, he is playing great. Just not greater than SGA

Can’t overlook this
53 mins 24 FT and only +2 for the game with an L
Funny how it was exactly 10 boards and 10 assists (and took 2 OT to get).
And lets talk about his FT’s. Or if not then don’t mention SGA FT again. All the slander about SGA FTs, who is making more drives than Jokic. News alert - every MVP has more FTs than those who don’t win it. When you drive more you get more contact and thus more FTs. Jokic sets a seasonal record in FTs and ya’ll wanna brag him up lol.
Especially Muscles of Soy, he comes out of his basement solely to trash Thunder lol. And to get more soy sauce.
Shai is averaging 33-5-6 while leading a team that’s 16.5 games ahead of Jokic’s.
He’s +907 on the court, while the next highest player is +543.
Western Conference Player of the Month Winners
October/November: SGA
December: SGA
January: Nikola Jokic
February: LeBron James
March: SGA
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has won the award 3/5 times this season.
This MVP helps his team “win” games
If Jokic is so great where are they in comparison to the soon to be real MVP SGA? Oh crap they are 16 games behind lol

Keep in mind this stat, and imagine how easily SGA could have padded his stats had he played more
Games sitting out 4th quarters in a single season
2016 Curry — 20 (25% of games played)
2025 SGA — 16 (22% of games played)
Historic levels of dominance

Chet alone has missed 48 games. Others have missed plenty of games as well
Think about this stat. Its an amazing one. We are seeing history and for the youngest (or second youngest) team ever.
Too many people are arguing instead of watching history unfold. What they are doing this year is something we’ll never see again.
More minutes leading by 15+ than minutes behind. And who is the leader of this team. Why its SGA, your soon to be 24/25 season MVP.

God damn you are fricking weird. Sitting in here alone replying to yourself over and over with long Twitter copy posts of SGA propaganda is strange, insecure behavior.

I hope OKC wins it all. A very good bright young team. I want to see how they handle getting pushed in these upcoming playoff series.

Muscles of Soy,
Someone has to reign in your Jokic propaganda. He’s great but you posted a 2 OT game. Thats 10 more minutes of gametime. Or put another way the game was 21% longer than a regular game. So he had at least 21% or higher chances to pad those stats you posted.
In reg game taking out 21% of his stats he’d have 48/8/8 and not even a double double. Still great but not as great as you make it to be.
And let’s not forget all those FTs.
Just curious, do you get high humidity in your basement or do you run a humidifier? And do you get large discounts on the bulk soy purchases?

Sometimes you have to lose to win. If one goes back and looks at the OKC/Mavs series last year, OKC played pretty good. But Mavs played lights out. Washington couldn’t miss any 3’s. And it was just missing a little bit that cost OKC.
Fast forward and those existing players got the playoff experience. And got hungry. And added IHart and Caruso. And get more out young players with another year to learn.
Their coach is simply amazing too. Players grew up with him. He is so superior to Brooks and Donavon. Always teaching and engaged. And has a system.
Will be fun to see how far they go. They should make finals but like any sports, someone// can get hot (opposing team) while OKC hits a cold snap and that can change fortunes. Injuries too.
IHart has been an awesome addition. And so has Caruso (the disrupter). But lots of role players have improved too. And SGA continues to work on his game and is really hard to guard. Usually gets a 2nd guard and thats why he gets go the line, the 2nd player makes rash moves and fouls.

If Denver is at full strength they will be OKC’s biggest threat in the West. People say they don’t want a series with OKC and the Cavs, but that would be a fun watch IMO. Quite a few young potential stars in that series.

Denver/OKC would be a dog fight series. OKC would likely rotate IHart/Chet due to them likely getting in foul trouble. I think the younger legs would prevail.

I noticed you conveniently left out defensive rebounds. Another defensive stat…
Jokic 9.9 per game
SGA. 4.1 per game
Now add that to your “stocks” and tell me who has the most of those 3 categories

You serious? I mean they play different positions, you do know that right? Or maybe you fail to comprehend basketball basics

I’m saying that should count for something bc defensive rebounds is a defensive stat… (hard for you to understand though I can tell…)
It's not, and i'll remind you that I think Jokic should be the MVP, but your argument on rebounds compared to SGA is stupid. and using the argument he's good at defensive rebounds is something that somehow says he's a good defender is silly. KAT and Sengun are top 10 in rebounds, and they are both terrible defenders.
The fact that Jokic is going to be the first ever who's top 3 in Points, Rebounds, Assists, and you can throw steals in that too, is the very simple reason why he shoudl be the MVP. When someone does somethign that historic, it shoudl be rewarded.

Jokic is 2nd in defensive rebounds per game that’s better than everyone except 1 player — that matters for defense…
Maybe you just can’t wrap that your head around that for some reason

Shai is having a better year, he leads in all the advanced metrics and is setting records with a bunch of college kids. He’s an all around better player due to his defense as well.
Jokic accumulated all these stats in a double overtime game, and made more free throws than Minnesota’s entire team. And lost.
Man, holy shite.

What about the fact that Jokic is 2nd in league in steals per game as a Center… he’s the only big in the top 5 of that category… But let me guess they just fall into his lap and SGA gets his (but SGA doesn’t get as many as Jokic) by playing “tough defense”

Today's NBA is a joke. All this talk about how the 80s and 90s players couldn't make in today's NBA yet a sloth put up 61 and is one of the best players in the game.
