He lost out on some NIL money being taken in the 7th. As much of a clown show all the suing of the ncaa has turned into how long until someone sues for their eligibility back?

Quinn's signing bonus is $130k. Annual salary for next 4 years is $1 mil assuming he doesn't get cut before end of year 4. He was "supposedly" offered $8 mil to play another year. I highly doubt it was that much. But he maybe could've matched 1 more year in college what he'll make in the next 4 years in the NFL. Maybe a wake up call to NIL on what these players are really worth.

It takes a year+ before trial comes to be. Are they twiddling thumbs during? Because they can’t be a professional in the interim and maintain eligibility

Him going to the draft makes me believe that some of the NIL figures are quite overinflated for what is reported, and what they are actually receiving

Apparently all it takes is the lawsuit for the ncaa to cave immediately. Look at the Pavia situation

Most players aren’t even Quinn Ewers…

This. The "valuations" are based on "potential influence". That does not necessarily, and likely doesn't, translate into the player getting paid that much.

Social media revenue is typically based on "impressions", the actual number of times the ad is seen. For example, If a contract is for $1 per impression up to 10,000 impressions, the contract is worth $10K, obviously, but if it only generates 500 impressions, it's only $500.

Pretty sure Ewers already knew this and was just tired of being in college. He was never projected to be a top pick.

I was thinking about that today.

I don’t think, the way things sit right now, that the NCAA could win that case.

You can’t compare NIL value with NFL value based solely on skill. College football is huge business - but only a small percentage of the population is eligible to play it and those who are not eligible are worthless no matter how skilled they are. The backup QB for the 49ers can’t do shite for Texas or Georgia or Ohio State because he’s not eligible to play.

Like the old saying: “In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.”

Late round pick in the Miami system for a few years could work out well for him

This isn’t something that’s set for every player and payment

The valuations is some On3 bs and should be ignored. Ewers could definitely have been found a multi million dollar starting job in college and it's got nothing to do with his social media followers.

Being a 20 something year old professional athlete in Miami with nearly no pressure to do anything but hold a clipboard is a pretty solid gig IMO

He still has to win the backup role, or he'll be sent to the Scout team. At that point, anyone could pick him up for a song and dance. He's very inconsistent. That has to change in a hurry.
