Cool story bro. The NBA still sucks major BBC now. Far too many threes, the players are softer than baby shite, LeFlop ushered in a completely new timeline where most players belong under the sea, and above all else it’s just frankly boring as hell.

And most people agree with me. It’s why no one cares or watches

Would be a fitting time for a pro sports team in Oklahoma to win their first title IMO

Just wait until the playoffs when SGA doesn’t get all the weak calls and they get dominated by other teams’ bigs.

And they did it without their 2nd best player all season other than first few weeks.

Chet Holmgren will be back Fri night. One thing about Thunder they move the ball around and play defense. Chet will just add more D. Him and IHart never got to play together so HC will have all kinds of options who to have on floor and when.

I read somewhere that SGA had the second lowest FT attempts per drive in league, something like that. If anyone has watched he is super good at basketball and can put you on skates at anytime. Teams are now starting to foul him on purpose to avoid a sure basket as well. He is not a whiner like Luka, very rare to see him complain about foul no calls.

Shai last 7 games:

50 PTS
34 PTS
29 PTS
52 PTS
35 PTS
31 PTS
54 PTS

His third 50-point game this season — nobody else has more than one.

SGA has more 50-point games than KD did in his MVP season.

And this was Chet prior to injury. He is basically their mid season trade so to speak. They are 40-9 and getting Chet back

Chet this season before injury:

16.4 PPG
8.7 RPG
2.6 BPG (2nd in NBA)

This speaks less about SGA and KD and more about what Silver’s league has become.

How many Thunder games have you watched this year? SGA is a bonafide star. Had he stayed in LAC he’d get way more press. NBA is bad about showcasing young stars unless they play for big market teams. But as good as he and OKC is they can’t avoid it too much longer.

I would still say the ‘95-‘96 Bulls point differential is more impressive considering the league average ppg was only 99.5 and today it’s over 115 ppg.

I’m not disputing SGA being a star. He most definitely is. I’m just saying that 50 point games don’t mean what they used to.

SGA literally dominated in the playoffs last year. And OKC added another big in Hartenstein.

You are trying too hard to devalue his 50 point games.

In the entire NBA, not one player has more than one 50 point game.

SGA has 3 in his last 7 games. But to go further, because OKC was leading so big late he got a majority of those points in 3 quarters not 4. And its been like that all year. As the OP stat shows, OKC wins by an avg of 13 points which is most all time. That means SGA was pulled from games far earlier than most players. And yet he’s putting up major stats.

People just have not seen much of him due to NBA liking big market teams and showcasing their aging stars over a young team. So they look at some stats and make declarations without ever watching him, or very little.

What the team and SGA are doing is pretty historic. Presti 2.0 has built a better version of Presti 1.0.
