Once corporate sponsors entered the picture they definitely lost their luster in terms of Prestige.

Hasn't the Sugar had the most national champions?

I never cared for the Rose Bowl, and couldn't understand all the "granddaddy of all bowls" crap. I have watched college football since being a kid in the 60's and never liked the Pac 10 & Big 10 matchup. Of course, having USC arse kisser announcers like Keith Jackson didn't help matters.

I know that the Cotton Bowl is attempting to bid to becomes a BCS bowl when the contract comes up for renewal.

Uncle Jerry was pushing for it recently with his new stadium as the centerpiece. Thanks to ESPNs new deal the soonest any change will be made is 2014. I do remember reading that the officials were receptive to the idea but want to see how the stadium fares in other college events first... like the A&M-Arkansas series

1. Rose Bowl - nothing like watching an outdoor game that starts in the day and ends at night.
2. Sugar Bowl -
3. Fiesta Bowl - usually see good games in this one.
Cap1 game is usually a good match between SEC and big 10 - matchups you don't usually see. not prestigious but a good game.
Orange Bowl - fallen way off in the last few years. unwatchable and lost alot of prestige.

The Orange bowl has declined over the years, they are not getting the great matchups they had years ago. The BCS tie ends have really changed the bowl picture. The Cotton used to be as big as the Orange, Sugar & Rose Bowl, but fell off the map years ago, compared to what it once was. The Fiesta has done well since its inception.

I really like the Holiday bowl. That game is always high scoring and usually produces a very good game. Very underrated bowl IMO. Best bowl..its tough to say. Non BCS I'd go Holiday then Citrus aka Cap One.

Big time. The Orange Bowl has really taken a blow since the ACC is just not competitive nowadays. Maybe the tide will turn soon. It sucked that UM was suddenly terrible the whole time I was there. For now, enjoy Cincinatti vs. Virginia Tech...yuck.
I don't agree with the Rose Bowl sticking with tradition, but they are still the most prestigious bowl. There's an unmatched pageantry.
