Or held accountable. How can they call that a swing to end the Division Series. Playoffs…..not just a game…the playoffs!!

With technology today umpires aren't even needed. It's absurd that the outcome of a game can boil down to obscured human observation when what actually happened can be proven.

Umpires in baseball are a big problem. For how many calls they miss, their God complex is ridiculous. Their egos are huge. They need to be replaced.

The nfl officiating is pretty inefficient. You have situation where it’s fumble/no fumble, int/no int, td/no td. You have an official call it in the field. Then it gets reviewed(too long). Then official corrects or confirms the play. Why not just have a ref in a booth watch the replay, and then send it to the refs on the field...”he got both feet in”.
The same with spotting the ball. Many times a player runs out if bound. The line judge is not in the right position to spot the ball. Yet he does it anyway and it’s often wrong. We at home can spot the ball better because we gave great position. Just have someone booth with spot the ball...”hey, it’s at the 35 yard line”.

Why don't you sign up w/your local baseball/football officiating association since you want to make a difference?

This isn't true... but they really should rely on technology as much as possible to get the calls right. Balls/strikes, check swings, any call that can be reviewed should be.

Same reason people don’t start up their own McDowells and always insure the McFlurby machine works?

Or, and hear me out, we make replays in professional and collegiate sports fast as hell. No reason why we at home have access to all the angles and can clearly see what happened, where, and at what time and decide it in less than 30 seconds.
There should be a time limit on all replays of 30 seconds. If you can’t tell in 30, call stands.
Don’t replace refs and umps, make everything reviewable, have a replay official for all games, give him autonomy, and a strict time limit.

Every time I bring this up there is complete and total silence.

I can get behind this.
Replay is entirely too long most times.
