Him and Ron Franklin were the voices of CFB while I was growing up/early adulthood. They were both so good.
RIP.

Called the Bama vs Georgia "blackout" in 2008. He was as stunned as the rest of us.

He was way underrated. I loved listening to him. I was so disappointed when ESPN didn't carry him over from the Sunday night NFL games to the Monday night games.

Probably nostalgia but I loved that SNF crew back in the day…even Theisman. Always seemed pretty loose and they were having fun

It was Jeanine Edwards and he called her "sweetcakes." She used to be a jockey in Maryland. Coked up half the time

Did that TD against Auburn move the Richter scales like the one Hodson to Fuller did?

To this day I'm amazed that people don't get it was a joke. It was a nail biter game (wasn't the comment made at the start of OT?) and the comment was made in jest as if "this game is boring, let's talk about something else".
It was a joke.
I feel like people realized that it was a joke, but Blackledge absolutely didn't, and his reaction was what made it hilarious. I was at that game, so I didn't hear it in real time.
