Could be a humbling moment that changes sanders but everyone knows that won’t happen.

He couldn't even make it through that speech with humility. Talked about how he never should have dropped, bigger and better things are coming, blah blah blah.

If the kid had even an ounce of accountability, humility, and leadership, some team would have taken the chance on him in the first round.

The formula to be drafted high "ain't hard 2 find", but occasionally you have prospects like these that think they're bigger than the process and it comes back to bite them.

I hope some team in the second takes another QB like Quinn Ewers first just so we can watch Mel Kiper stroke out about it

Seeing all that jewelry instantly made me think of his dad. He needs to stop thinking he is Prime Time 2.0. Just be Shadeur, the QB.

Has no one to blame but himself. Quoth a story from NFL dot com on Wednesday:

One longtime NFL assistant coach said his time with Sanders was "the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates. ... But the biggest thing is, he's not that good."

"His college tape looked like Caleb Williams without the elite physical arm talent," an NFC coordinator said. "I'm sorry: You can't play that game at this level. So, you've got to be banking on him making a jump from a decision-making, in-the-pocket, on-time, under-pressure [perspective], where you don't have evidence of that on tape."

Would they though? What if his name was Shedeur Williams?

I think the whole epiphany that people are failing to have is that Shedeur isn't a great prospect- and the NFL doesn't care about your last name. He's a 6'1" quarterback with limited mobility with zero elite traits. He's got a .500 record in college against subpar competition. If you got dropped in from space and compared his college tape to 7th round pick Brock Purdy you would have a difficult time convincing anyone that Sanders was a better prospect.

The media pushed this narrative that he's a first round pick though, so now they get to talk about him for the next few weeks like they talked about Kaepernick for years, like some great injustice has been done.

if his last name was Johnson nobody would be talking about him and he would be a 5th round pick. He looks like a bozo with that chain and he is living off his daddy's name. That's it. This whole Colorado thing has been about hype not actual accomplishments or wins or anything else.

In what world did they think retiring the number of a 22 yr old whose biggest accomplishment is a 9 win season was going to be seen favorably by an NFL coach who knows his on field weaknesses will require hard coaching? What NFL locker room full of grown men will respect a rookie QB this entitled without his daddy forcing them?

Falling out of the 2nd is quite possible. If the talent wasn’t so elite to overcome the personality into the 1st round, now he’s just not worth the trouble as a disgruntled backup who will be locker room cancer.

Oh, and maybe a GM was thinking a slide out of Day 1 would humble him enough to take a chance? Nope, he’s still giving speeches signing off as “Legendary.”
