He was up there until he started meeting with teams, that should tell you all you need to know.

He was project top 5 by quite a few places until a few weeks ago.
Because this is when the amateurs start to catch up to what teams think.

Has no one to blame but himself. Quoth a story from NFL dot com yesterday:
One longtime NFL assistant coach said his time with Sanders was "the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates. ... But the biggest thing is, he's not that good."
"His college tape looked like Caleb Williams without the elite physical arm talent," an NFC coordinator said. "I'm sorry: You can't play that game at this level. So, you've got to be banking on him making a jump from a decision-making, in-the-pocket, on-time, under-pressure [perspective], where you don't have evidence of that on tape."

Based on what? His physical talent is very, very meh. I’ll give him this, he’s tough as shite. Got the shite beat out of him 2 years ago and got up every time and kept playing But his absolute ceiling can’t be more than a middle of the pack starter. Not a great athlete in the run game, average at best arm strength, and greatest asset as a passer is accuracy which isn’t elite.
I’ve just seen guys with a lot less college production go in the first round without some of the off script plays that Shedeur showed. I’m obviously not an NFL scout, but watching him play seemed to justify the upside hype IMO.
I always knew the entire package would be the problem.

He would have better served playing for another coach.
No one wanted to waste a first on him considering next years QB class should be much deeper.

What about him do you see as upside hype? The limited athleticism? The average at best arm? The slow processing?
And that’s giving him benefit of the doubt of some of the stuff like the bad sacks or bad throws knowing he had no o line and his defense sucked. You could just as easily say he just doesn’t get it.
What currently starting qbs do you think he’s better than? Not counting for things like age. I don’t think he’s better or has more upside than geno smith or Sam darnold and they’re pretty much replacement level quarterbacks

That caught your attention but not “intensive purposes”?

This is an all time dogshit class for QBs and Shedeur is the poster child of it.

What upside? He has zero elite physical tools. Not a good athlete, not a good arm, not good in the pocket, didn't win a ton of games, didn't play elite competition...where exactly is the upside?

It's crazy how bad the QB class is this year. Ward is even suspect in my eyes

Would be hilarious if he fell to the 3rd RD
It’s definitely possible, but what would be hilarious about it?

Did Shedeur rent his draft night set for longer than 24 hrs?
