So the most valuable player had his worst game of the year but his team still wins by 51?

The most valuable player is the one whose team was 5-1 without him this year, with his team winning those games by an average of 23 points?

The most valuable is not the guy who is top 3 in the league in points, rebounds, assists AND steals? The one who’s team has a significant drop off when he doesn’t play, as evidence by their 4-8 record in games he didn’t play?

Has there ever been a NBA MVP who’s team has no drop off when they didn’t play?

I keep saying it on this damn board and I'll say it again.

Jokic is your easy easy MVP choice. Not Shai. This is ridiculous.

15 points in 23 minutes. And plus +28 in his limited minutes. Grizz went all out to stop him and paid the price. Had 5 assists and 3 boards along with 2 blocks.

I think you just wanted to bash him to make some point. He led the 5th best team in history in reg season. You can’t take away what he accomplished all season by one silly post lol. You tried but it’s a big fail.

Lets compare game 1’s to prove how dumb you are

Jokic had 29 points in 46 minutes which is .63 points per minute.

SGA had 15 points in 23 minutes which is .65 points per minute.

I love these dumb posts they make my day

The fact he's had to only play 23 minutes yet the team blasted their opponent by 51 tells you about the team and how bad Memphis played.

Two guys on the bench played 23 total minutes, scored 2 points, and they were each +30bpm.

That is absurd.

The real tragedy was gifting Embiid with the MVP over the Joker

I’ll say it, and it shouldn’t be controversial, Jokic should be a 4 peat MVP and it hasn’t been close. That phrase gets thrown around a lot lately these days, but it’s absolutely true.

You could make a case for Kareem, Magic, Jordan, LeBron, but nobody has been more valuable to their team the past 4 years like Jokic has been to Denver across all time NBA.

Debate me, downvote me, whatever you wanna do, but Joker’s last 4 seasons have been arguably the greatest seasons of all time from a statistical and PER standpoint.

Everyone will argue championships, and yes I’d love to see him win a couple more, but my Joker is a Top 5 greatest player of all time. I fricking said it

Not with only one championship in one appearance

Other players in that conversation have 4+

Which is why it’s an overblown award. A few guys should’ve won it, but the voters are worried about fatigue, instead of the real MVP. They vote for who’s next in line, if the best player has already won it multiple times.

These kind of absolute statements are a sign of low intelligence, fyi.

Here’s another angle you haven’t thought of: Jokic led the Nuggets to the 4 seed. Not impressive. He also lost to the Wizards twice because he doesn’t play defense or jump.

Am I supposed to be dazzled?

Anyone who thinks SGA should be MVP over Joker is dumb. Full stop.

Or they actually watch the NBA and can see how much better Shai is than Jokic as an all around player.

If MVP was awarded for most PRA, Jokic would win. But it’s not.

Against the Clippers Jokic got subbed out in a one possession game because it was a defensive possession. You’d think the “easy MVP” would be on the floor in that scenario, but he’s such a liability on defense that he was on the bench. That’s not MVP behavior, sorry.

This is painfully stupid and a good example of how far gone you are. Even the vast majority of Thunder fans still admit Jokic is the best player while arguing their guy for MVP.

With the game on the line, your MVP was on the bench.
