China opened up its FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup campaign with an impressive 109-50 win over Indonesia — in large part due to the performance of Zhang Ziyu.

In her first appearance for the national team, Ziyu recorded 19 points on 9-9 shooting. She also chipped in with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks — all in just 13 minutes off the bench.

Ziyu, 17, stands 7-foot-3 — making her the tallest player in women's basketball.

She must suck if she comes off the bench

Scoring 19 points on 9 for 9 shooting in just 13 minutes doesn’t suck that much

Against Indonesian housewives that barely come up to her tits.

Her minutes are probably limited because of the problems that come along with her size.

Yeah. Those 6’2 WNBA players with their 3” verticals are really gonna give her problems in the paint

They're a million times more physical and active than those little Indonesian ladies but they'd run her off the court in transition going the other way so her post game wouldn't matter for long.

Have you ever watched Angel Reese in transition? She runs down the court like a toddler stomping off to their room after being sent to timeout and she isn’t being run off the court because athleticism isn’t exactly a strong suit for those WNBA post players.

All this Chinese chick has to do is wobble down court, set up in the post, raise her hands up over her head and none of those broads are even gonna be able to touch the ball.

Angel Reese is extremely physical and athletic, if she wasn't she wouldn't be able to rebound the way she does.

This chick isn't just a slightly oversized freak, she's basically like an 8'5'' men's player. She's going to have no athleticism especially once her joints and tendons start to go.

They will. They’re much more physically gifted than the Indonesian team.

Margo Dydek was a 7’2” WNBA player who averaged 13 PPG in her best season. She also died at 37.

These freakishly tall women have major health problems. It’s not a given that she’ll dominate the league.

She seemed to struggle at point blank shots having to take her time....well I guess she has the luxury. 7 rebounds? If she was actually skilled, she'd have 30.

This reminds me of Kramer competing against kids in Karate.

I’m trying to do the math of WNBA players being a million times more athletic than anything and I’m fairly certain that thing does not exist.

She has none now.

Just further evidence of how shitty women’s basketball is by comparison. They are paid what they deserve.

Probably came from the same test tube as Yao Ming, Wang Zhizhi, and the other three 7 footers on their Chinese team.
