He's sitting at a bar, ordered a Guinness, young fella next to him asks how that tastes, he says "smooth", older guy on other side says "like you when you played ball", youngster say "what, did you play tennis?" Joe responds, "sure kid..."

It's funny in a generational way, but still depressing because despite Brady's rings, I think Montana was (and remains) the best NFL QB ever.

Commercials are lies. Acting is lying. Guarantee that actor damn knew who Joe fricking Montana is. Don’t be depressed at their lies.

#16 was the best to ever throw it. Right or wrong, I'll die saying it's Joe.

Joe and Tom are very similar players in a lot of ways. Tom has had the benefit of modern rules and training so he’s had basically 2 careers.

When you stack up his career stats you could argue he has 3 careers.

Or, as Dandy Don Meredith referred to him, Jimmy Joe Idaho.

Bill Walsh GOAT head coach. If Tom Brady played in that revolutionary offense with Jerry rice (another GOAT) he’d have won 10 rings. Don’t @ me

Sorry drunk posting last night

Joe Walsh, he had always been a dreamer as a coach. But he took it easy and retired too early. Jerry Vermicelli and Joe Young are the GOAT. Wish they had won a Super Bowl with the Eagles.

Kids today not only don't have a clue who Joe was but bet they don't know that Funk# 49 is a song or who sang it.

If it makes you feel better, in 30 years there’s going to be some 20-something sitting in a bar who has no idea who Brady is either

Think of it this way:

If Tom had to play in the 80’s/90’s when the QB could actually be hurt, he may not have all his rings……….or his bones.

Whereas, if Joe Montana had played in this era, where the QB is protected and the WR can’t be really defended without a flag being thrown, he may have more rings than Tom

We’ll never know, but I know Bill Walsh never cheated either
