The New York Mets are loading up on broadcasters, but not for their radio or TV booth. Instead, their new hires are headed for the front office.
Just a day after hiring former New York Yankees broadcaster Al Leiter in a front office role, the Mets announced on Tuesday that Jessica Mendoza, one of ESPN’s on-air analysts for “Sunday Night Baseball,” has been hired as a baseball operations advisor. According to the Mets, her job will focus on player evaluation, roster construction, technological advancement, and health and performance. Mendoza will not be leaving ESPN and will continue to work for as an analyst for “Sunday Night Baseball.”

Does she actually know baseball? If so, this could be a decent hire. If not, well Met’s gonna Met’s

She could suck a grapefruit through a garden hose. That's all I know.

How do you know. Please tell me. Leave no details out

Gee that doesn't sound like a conflict of interests at all.

The lips my man, the lips on that woman are unreal.

ESPN wants to shove a woman calling MLB games down our throats so badly they won’t give up the one they have even when she gets an MLB job.

If she truly were qualified for this job she wouldn’t be able to work for espn on the side

I’m “librul” af, but I hope she never sets foot in an MLB booth again. She was pure torture listening to. Had no idea WTF she was taking about during broadcasts. Pointless prattle.

Aaron "Box Boy" Boone was almost as bad. Still blows my mind that he's manager of the New York Yankees...

^Agreed. Boone is a garbage manager. I'm laughing my arse they fired Girardi for that idiot. What's funnier is their hated rivals hired a much much much better manager.
at the Yankees.

How is that not a conflict of interest?

I've always wondered what was her background in baseball before she got hired. I am fine with her in the broadcast booth. Did she play fast pitch softball or something?

Holy shite I’ve been so checked out on baseball, I didn’t even know Gerardi was fired and even then Boone was hired.
Feels like aside from Harper or Lebron.. that’s all you hear on espn nowadays
