All the teams passed on Shadeur because they know they get Deion as the interfering daddy along with him. Deion will try to get on the staff if not this year or next year and then try to position himself to become a NFL head coach

Not only that, but he said he would pull an Eli and not allow him to play for certain organizations. So maybe the teams that would've actually given him a chance, Deion said no to previously.

I mean it could be argued that Sheduer didn't have any great tape against teams worth a shite over his 2 seasons at CU, but yeah you're not wrong. His Dad didn't help the situation

Nah, if Shedeur was as good as he and Deion thinks he is nobody would care. The problem is Shadeur is nowhere near as good as people think he is.

Both are equally bad. The kid has a goddamn draft room built for him with "Legendary" branded on everything, and pictures taken showing off gold chains and Gucci bags. You think NFL franchises are going to hand the keys to a narc like that?

It has nothing to do with Deon or the interviews as much as the physical limitations in his game. His arm strength is below average and he’s really inaccurate on throws over 40 yards. He’s not a threat to run the ball at all and has very questionable pocket awareness. He would have the weakest arm for a first round pick since Mac Jones.

That's way too simplistic.

On the field Shedeur doesn't have guaranteed starter arm strength, he can miss crucial throws and, from what I've seen, his downfield accuracy numbers may look good but too many times he'd just throw deep balls up in hope and get bailed out by his receivers.

It's not like he's the first QB to fall. Mocks had Malik Willis going early and he slid to the 3rd just because of his tape and he was by all accounts a high character guy.

Shedeur is a walking red flag.

That said, his biggest problem is that he's just not that good.

If Shedeur was worth the hassle, some team would have taken him last night. No one wants the three-ring circus for a player with a very limited ceiling.

Some team would have even taken him if he wasn't the spitting of his dad personality-wise. He has Deion's bad traits and none of the elite talent.

Could just be that the kid has a terrible attitude.

quote:

One longtime NFL assistant coach said his time with Sanders was "the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates.

Multiple issues

1. Deon
2. Shadeur is an arrogant, entitled, spoiled kid.
3. The ESPN/media hype machine hyped him and he’s not near as good as the hype. The hyped played right into their liberal playbook.

That’s the part of his game that stands out the most to me. His comfort just standing in the pocket waiting to find a receiver, seeming to completely not care he could get sacked any moment, is uncanny. It’s an asset that he’s able to keep his composure in the pocket, but obviously you want him to be able to speed up and avoid sacks when the time comes to do that. Really interested to see how he looks in the NFL when it comes to that.

He played in the NFL. I doubt Deion would be like the Balls' dad. Deion knows that in the NFL parents are out of the way. There is no way Deion would do that to his son.

The problem is that his son is not a first-round draft pick even in a year with a weak quarterback class.

Deion forcing CO to retire Shedeurs number for him to remain coach was probably a red flag.

Shedeur didn’t go out and earn stuff on his own. Deion made his path without him having to fight for it and dealing with adversity.

Shedeur told people not to draft him if they didn't want to change the franchise or the culture.

A lot of teams have good franchises and cultures, they just took his advice.

Shaduer is Deion. They're the same person.

Shedeur isn’t that good against real competition, is extremely entitled, and seems like a poor teammate. This all blowing up in his face is cracking me up.

One thing that did change my mind about a player last night was Cam Ward’s parents. Seem like awesome, hard working, humble people and that makes me think he’ll be better than I thought. His body language has turned me off in the past, but so has Jayden’s and he is a very hard worker and good teammate. Might be like that.

Shedeur is Deion, but raised extremely spoiled, and without the generational talent to back it up.
