The Story Behind the Jags Fan Gif

The Columbine tidbit is interesting. There’s more in the link. May you forever live in infamy good sir

Well first off, the reason behind his reaction made famous by the meme is due to Jack Del Rio (ex-Jaguars coach, new Broncos Defensive Coordinator) style football and specifically – play calling (Dirk Koetter, ex-Jaguars OC and new Falcons OC called plays but was always trumped by JDR, prompting the two's falling out last year when they exchanged a war of words in Jax newspapers.) In the 4th quarter, with 7 minutes left, Del Rio did what Del Rio does – run the ball no matter how many points his team is losing by, no matter how much time is available to make a comeback, and no matter how ridiculous his decision was for the situation at hand. With a 1st and goal from the 7 yard line, with 7 minutes left, Del Rio ran the ball on 1st and 2nd down (a staple of JDR's coaching career, and the plays resulting in this infamous Jags Guy gif.) Del Rio was totally oblivious to how much time was left, how passing would save clock, as well as being the 21st century method of putting points on the board in the NFL. After gaining 4 yards on those 2 runs he finally decided to let Trent Edwards (in for a hurt David Garrard) pass on 3rd, and 4th down – the 4th down attempt being intercepted in the end zone (a staple of Trent Edwards' much maligned career.)

Here's where sh-t gets weird. As it turns out... Jags Guy grew up in Littleton, Colorado. Does that sound familiar? Of course it does, because that's the home to Columbine High School – of which Jags Guy attended, during the exact same years of the Columbine High School Massacre.

Dude definitely has a little school shooter look to him.

The Story Behind the Jags Fan Gif
I am still waiting on the 30-for-30 on the Marshall Henderson gif and what has become of all the characters present for that.
For your enjoyment, since it never gets old:

I really like learning the stories behind the more well-known gifs out there. Other day I read about the Alonzo Mourning gif where he's on the Miami Heat bench shaking his head and then nods resignedly
Never knew this one. Thanks for sharing from Reddit, OP!

The black dude in the white polo is the best. Completely unrattled with zero fricks given. Blinks once

What’s the story behind that one? Love that gif

I have two very good friends that went to Columbine during the shooting and once i sent that gif as a response to something and they were like "why do you have a gif of that guy we went to school with".
Had no idea he was Jags guy and internet famous.
Cool Story Bro

There’s no confirmation the jags guy went to Columbine. There’s a guy who kind of looks like him in the senior picture so retards on the internet make up fan fiction about him going there. Funny how everyone says he went there and knows his life story but none of those posts ever say his name.

If I had to imagine...here is what I think became of the characters in that gif:
Black dude/event security guy: Is a hit with the ladies. When he isn't working Auburn games, he moonlights as a DJ on the Smooth Jazz station.
Old courtside man who stands up: obviously has money since he sits in the floor seats. I am thinking he is retired to a house in suburban Opelika and has 22 "Stay off my lawn" signs in his front yard.
Girl who flying poster falls on: still in therapy due to the shock of being hit with the poster. Thanks God every day that her face didn't permanently freeze when she reacted to being hit.
Horizontal stripe dude who yells "frick you": attends anger management classes once a week. Probably a "plant baw" who drives a Hemi with truck nuts
Radio engineer guy: went back to being a roadie for the Grateful Dead

Before we get started, this gif also has four other great reactions in it. It's a very versatile gif.
First, the guy two or so rows behind and to the right of Jags Guy – with the watch – is complaining to his friend, but at the end of the gif he does the exact same hand-under-nose to hand-in-the-air-in-confusion motion almost like he and Jags Guy were somehow inexplicably connected telepathically. That or humans are just mindless followers who react like dominoes but that's for another thread. Next we have the older guy behind and to the left of Jags Guy shaking his head in utter disgust after voicing his frustrations.
Furthermore we have the creeper dude , the resident Sandusky candidate – to his right – sketching up the gif, giving it that pedophile swag. So much so that he too has branched off into his own internet meme around certain parts.
I forgot about the creeper guy and almost spit out my coffee this morning

If you could provide information on the story behind the man in the viral Techno Viking video, you could be in for a few bucks.
The man (Techno Viking) in the video, far what ever reason has obsessively avoided any notoriety from video, even costing him legal fees by hiring a lawyer to maintain anonymity.
To this day his true identity has never been verified, not even by the man who filmed the video at the time.
video
Apologies for non sports related hijack of thread.

I love that gif

There's so much passion and intensity in those few seconds. We need more good villains in SEC basketball to fire up the crowds, especially at the PMAC

Holy crap the joke that the blinking guy reacted to is more funny than the meme. They were playing a farming game on live stream and one of the other guys said “I was doing some farming with my hoe earlier”
