Was this meant to be a "gotcha" on salaries for High School Football coaches?
Think about how many kids these coaches have helped obtain a college scholarship.

The coaches worth this kind of money can win without kids who get scholarships

The melt from coach salaries on the r/Texas and r/Houston Reddit pages has been hilarious to take in.
1. This is only head coaches, so doesn’t include most teacher/coaches that make up a coaching staff.
2. Coaches work from like 6am - 8pm thru November/December. Most head coaches are usually also the AD, so that adds a large sum onto their salary. AD’s are constantly at sporting events and other district stuff throughout the entire school and athletic year.
3. Every reasonably successful person I personally know can attribute where they are in life to one or multiple coaches, as well as many others, that helped them build work ethic, teamwork, etc….
4. Coaches make more than teachers because their product and those they instruct generate direct revenue every time they play or the booster club holds a fundraiser.
Nobody is paying $10, let alone anything more, to watch a pink short haired tranny educate 1st graders on oral sex.
5. Salaries are usually approved by a school board which is made up of elected people within the community. It isn’t like the athletic programs are directly siphoning cash away from a kid’s education.

Outside of the 1A-4A classifications, everybody that is playing 3-4 rounds deep has at least one D1 kid on the roster.
My Alma mater had no D1 FBS kids the last two years and won back to back state titles, but there were a few that went FCS.
99% of head coaches in the modern day, at least in Texas, are dominating year after year with a roster full of kids that won’t sniff the next level.

I think 4 of the top 7 are in Katy ISD. Also where the most expensive stadium in the country is located.
